great with modifications
Original Review: It’s too hard to drink through— even for me. I had first sterilized it in the dishwasher and after boiling the top and straw, that did seem to help and will have my baby try it again once he’s gotten some more practice with his other no-spill straw bottle (which he drinks from easily). I loved the idea of no plastic, but seems like a major design flaw if it’s this hard to drink from when out of the box.Update: I later followed someone's advice that is now fuzzy...but I boiled the straw and smashed it - made it easier to drink from. Was still too hard for my baby... tried again when he was 13.5MO. Now he loves it. We just use this one for water, haven't tried anything thicker. We use the Think Baby one for smoothies. I think this would be hard with something thicker than water? but idk, my guy is still little and I have not re-tried it. But he loves drinking from it, I think he likes that it takes a bit more effort, likes the feel of the straw - and I love that it doesn't have any plastic. Very easy to take apart to clean and reassemble. (Moreso than the Think Baby one which isn't too hard but requires more fussing and can get gunk stuck in flip top.) The cap is not a great design since it just kind of rests on top, but maybe that's what you get if you don't want a plastic top that snaps on. I think ideally I'd love to have a plastic cap option that snaps on as an option.

Only cup my toddler agreed to switch to after her bottle
I think the design of this cup is perfect. The nipple/top part still somewhat feels like a bottle but it is a straw cup, getting that somewhat of a bottle feel to it but still using the straw method of drinking. Our pediatrician was really on me about switching her from the bottle since she was about 18 months old and still drinking from a regular bottle. This cup worked very well. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is why the milk keeps coming up from the top. It'll fill the straw and many times the milk will come up and spill out/make a small puddle. I'm not sure why it's happening or how to stop it but I don't mind this at all given it's the only cup my toddler likes. I also love that it's stainless steel as I try to stay away from plastic for her.

Straw too long for the cover?
I really want to love this bottle. I was pretty excited about the 100% plastic free bottle. Overall this bottle functions well. Spill proof except for the first time you fill it up. Feels good in hand with good grip. But my issue is with the cover, which doesn’t seem to be compatible with the straw top?? The straw is simply too long for the cover. If I force the cover on then the straw top is bent pretty bad like it’s folded over. I worry that the straw will quickly be damaged from the fold. This pretty much deems this bottle unusable because I bought it solely for traveling and needed the cover for hygiene purposes.Again, supposedly a great product but I can’t seem to figure out how to use the cover unfortunately.

My daughter's favorite cup!
I bought this because I was tired of leaking sippy cups, tantrums because the straw "didn't work" and lids that won't screw on easily after too many times in the dishwasher. My daughter is IN LOVE with this cup - for reasons known only to toddlers. I am in love with this cup for the following:- metal doesn't warp at all, so the top threads on easily (all of our plastic topped ones became too difficult to screw on after several trips in the dishwasher... leading to leaks)- it grows with my daughter, so we need fewer bottles/ cups. We previously had the munchkin 360, the munchkin straw cups, the tommee tippee sippy cups and the Dr. Browns weighted straws. Sooo many cups, just to find a top that grows with my daughter. She loves straws, but still hasn't realized she needs to keep the cup down. This cup can be both a sippy cup and a straw cup, so i know I won't have to buy yet ANOTHER bottle when she figures out how to use a standard straw.- durable. my daughter is amazing; perfect in my eyes. but she still is a toddler, and throws tantrums. Often, this means throwing objects. Like her cup. We have milk stains everywhere from other cups getting thrown and bursting. This thing has yet to leak from a throw! And thus far it really only has one dent. Kind of amazing.- So much easier to clean than all the weighted straw cups. Seriously - no special pipe cleaner to get the milk out of the straw. The price tag isn't cheap on these, but I will be replacing our other cups with the Pura model slowly. Right now, it is the ONLY cup my daughter will drink from. And honestly, I'm ok with that.

Best plastic free toddler water bottle available
If you are looking for a plastic free toddler water bottle, this is the best option available on the market. It's not perfect though: the silicone cap comes off easily so it leaks water sometimes. It's also quite expensive for a toddler bottle but we couldn't find any good non-plastic toddler size bottle on the market.
