I started off with the X-Sense smoke detectors and was so impressed that I added the security system to it. Both are independent but do connect to the same base and app. Hence, should you get their plan, which may not be necessary, all systems are included. Here’s a copy of my my comments about the smoke detector system that applies to this one as well: After reviewing a number of systems, I settled on X-Sense because these detectors are interconnected and WiFi based. The app is easy to use, the detectors are super easy to connect and installation was effortless. On top of it the functionality is prs rival and offers the right amount of options. I expanded the fire detection system to include the X-Sense security system. Because I can now get instant alerts on my phone wherever I am, I opted not to buy their monitoring plan - yet. Should I do so, the top plan is only $49.99 per year for both fire and security. That’s equivalent to one or two months of regular plans with the more known companies.

I was skeptical at first but am very pleased with X-Sense. After purchasing the security system, I purchased add ons that easily sync to the base station. I now have the flood sensors that I have placed under sinks, in the laundry area, near my water heater etc. I also bought the combo smoke and CO2 detectors. The app work great. Now we get notifications if anything goes wrong. I highly recommend X-Sense products!

For a cheap home monitoring system it's very nice. Very easy to use and set up. The instructions for everything are very thorough. They have a lot of devices you can link up to the base (pay very close attention to models and compatibility, some things are independent and not part of the smart monitoring system) to keep track of anything in your home. I wish they still had cameras but maybe that will come back in the future. The only thing keeping for 5 stars in the mounting system using double sided tape does not last and with no option to screw many things in place I ended up using clear silicone to mount many of the little sensors. Still works great!

I have lived with this X-Sense system for a couple weeks now and like it very much. I found it pretty easy to install and setup. Explore the app and find you can tune and adjust most settings to make this system work the way you want. The door sensors are magnetic so their use on metal doors have special considerations. Since my doors are wood these did not apply to me. The Alexa integration appears to just allow you to arm and disarm the system with voice commands. Like the Echo Connect, I imagine Amazon will figure out some way to charge more for this in the future but it really is not that useful. The app control and push alerts to your phone are the real star.

Given the increasing crime rate I decided to give this a try, and I am glad I did. 2 weeks after the install, someone kicked my front door and the alarm immediately went off causing them to run like a rabbit in a mine field. I also got a nice pic of them from my security cameras for the police report. I have 3 problems with the system, if the power goes out the system goes off line, if you lose internet you have not connection to your phone for notifications, and alarm base could be louder, but it was enough to make a thief run, so it did it's job. I have since added the interconnected smoke and heat detectors and contacted my insurance company. My insurance company has given me a 10% discount for having a monitored fire alarm system. I have tested them and they do work very well and are really loud. I have also purchased a small UPS to back up the alarm receiver, modem and my router.

I bought this as a home monitoring system for my parents. It is the worst. Can not figure out how to use it. When we luck out and do get it working, it then goes off and it is so loud and we can not figure out how to turn it off. Need to be a genius to figure this out. the door alarms wont work on anything that is not completely flat. Do not waste your money

I got this 8 piece set for about $50 for the Black Friday deal and it was a no brainer for me because I already had some X-Sense products and don't own any Ring ones. Connecting these to my existing Base Station was completely seamless in the app, now my entire home has professional grade security with push notifications to my phone for the price of dinner at a decent restaurant. They also have a professional monitoring plan where they will automatically dispatch fire trucks to your house if there's a fire, but I can't seem to find anything on their website about an automatic police dispatch.

Easy to install, works great, the phone app able to be used by several family members. Can add part of another kit to extend the coverage.
