MedVanceTM Silicone - Bordered Silicone Adhesive Foam Dressing Sacral Size 7"x 7" Box of 5 dressings

Couldn't find a bandage size large enough that worked on a 3x5 area on my stomach and also stayed in place til this sacral area product, which I apply upside down from the way it would be applied on a back. Easy to peel off, no pain, I've worked with it on with lots of movement, sitting, bending, etc, doesn't fall off nor bunch.They are somewhat pricey, but the rectangular bandages I could find that might cover beyond 3x5 were more money. Will last for 48 hours if needed, though I didn't shower with it on -- others say it's not waterproof.I like that it's a bit larger than I really need as I don't have to worry about any adhesive dermatitis near the wound, though that hasn't been an issue anyway with the silicone adhesive. Infinitely better imo than any gauze/tape combo type of bandage, and the MedVance adhesion seems superior to the smaller McKesson silicone ones I also use, will be checking out those sizes with MedVance as well. Just want to add that the silicone bandages are all so much better than a standard adhesive bandage, to me they're easily worth the extra cost.

Good coverage. Stays on even in shower. Really prevents skin breakdown.

It is a really good product. One of the better ones. Stays in place very well along with providing pretty good cushion. I am my moms care giver and I do recommend these. Downfall you only get 5

These were the perfect size and the right amount of adhesion, stay on, but easily pull off when ready to clean wound and put a new one. Unless there’s a huge bowel movement, I can usually get the pad to last a couple days before needing to put a new one, with regular changing of diapering. Finally feel like there’s enough padding to protect the bed sore so it’s finally healing, as just positioning wasn’t doing the trick, but now it’s protected and can heal, finally getting from stage 2/3 to stage 4. Thinking based on other reviews I might use regularly even once it’s healed to prevent future bed sore in that area of the tail bone. Not inexpensive, but worth it. I tried other brands and this MedVance was far superior, even though they looked identical to the other brands, now I subscribe and save so they cost less because I know I’m using them for mom.

These work wonderful!! Wish there was more in the box for the price.

Very pleased with the product

My husband has a non-healing wound in his sacral area. These pads are lifechanging. Previously we were dressing the wound with gauze and covering with an ABD pad. Since we have switched to these pads his quality of life has increased 100%. These are highly absorbent and work great even for high draining wounds. We no longer worry about leaks, stains and smells when we are out in public. The adhesive sticks well all day and does not leave a sticky residue around the wound. We are able to buy Medvance pads for $3.80 a piece through Amazon, through out insurance (and medicare supplier) we would be paying $5.80 each as a copay. We seriously cannot live without these!
