Was able to use my DualSense PS5 controller on my Wii for Mario Sunshine. Compatible with both GameCube and revision 1 Wii. Build quality is premium, feels like a 1st party Nintendo accessory

Right out of the box this worked with Xbox Series controllers and Switch 1 Pro controllers. It pairs quite quickly. I couldn't get it to pair with PS4 or 5 pads, and I'm certain it would work after a firmware update, but you need a Windows PC for that. There are plenty of videos online explaining exactly how to connect it to a PC and how to do the update. The supplied USB to USBC cable is for updates, as the Receiver is powered directly from your GameCube. I played Ocarina of Time (GameCube collectors disc) with both pads that worked and the Pro controller was better. The Pro controller let me execute quick spin attacks easier, made walking slowly easier and made the shooting gallery doable (if you know you know). Basically playing an N64 port on GameCube is quite specific, as the tilt of the analogue stick and how it handles really matters. As for GameCube games using a Pro controller the stick and buttons worked well for Ikaruga, Metroid Prime 2 and Wind Waker, though I didn't play far enough on Wind Waker to see if the Z button worked. I tried Twin Snakes which seemed pretty good at first but then started to jitter when I tried first person view and I couldn't seem to access my codec. I tried Resident Evil 3 and the D pad was a lot nicer than the tiny one on a standard GameCube pad, however I did have to get used to a different button layout. I can't award this 5 stars because the latest firmware was not loaded from the start, but it is easy to use and does what I want it to. EDIT: I forgot to mention that the input lag is very minimal if any, and the pad is pretty good in this regard for casual play.

I recently bought the 8bitdo gamecube mod kit to make my official controller wireless while still having rumble, using the blue retro Bluetooth adapter for the mod kit has been a disaster, the button layout is all off, and I found that updating the blue retro adapter an absolute nightmare, so I decided to give the 8bitdo adapter a go, this adapter must be updated straight out of the box (which is easy to do) and then it will work perfectly, if I could find one fault with the adapter, it's the colour, it doesn't match my platinum GameCube and Gameboyplayer but other than that I highly recommend it.

Easy to setup, works a treat, picked up my PS5 pad no problems at all. Happy times.

It's getting a four. It works flawlessly in a GameCube and in a Wii so I imagine it'll also perform as great in those switch adaptor things (but why would you?). It's brilliant.

Excellent wireless adapter for gamecube and OG wii Once you upgrade the firmware its really good. No lag noticed.

Très facile d’utilisation. Il suffit de le brancher dans le port de la manette. Pas de soucis pour connecter les manettes 8bitdo, la Switch contrôler pro et les manettes Xbox et PS. Par contre je n’ai pas pu connecter une manette Hori.

It's awesome. I use this on my Wii. I have used PS4 duelshock 4 controllers to connect and my 8bitdo modded GameCube controllers. Both work perfect. Make sure you update the dongle prior to use on the system. Hold down the button and plug into the PC and use the 8bitdo firmware updater. The trigger is analog which is awesome! So super Mario sunshine works as it should. If there is latency I don't notice it. As I mainly play racing and car games. I have purchased 4 and have the whole family playing together. It keeps the connection to the remotes. 100% solid purchase especially for the Wii.

Ne sono venuto a conoscenza tramite alcuni youtuber americani che parlano di come rendere il gamecube una console attuale attraverso un po’ di modifiche, e questa, pur non essendo una vera e propria mod, è la mia preferita, perché avendo la tv e il gamecube lontani da dove gioco è un must, anche con prolunghe ed altro non si potrà mai avere la comodità di giocare wireless. Lo uso con il Pro Controller della Switch 1, l’adattatore bluetooth è plug and play, basta premere il pulsante di sincronizzazione su entrambi i dispositivi. La latenza risulta molto bassa, io non noto alcuna differenza nel giocare cablato o wireless. La compatibilità, molto elevata, è un altro pro, infatti permette di collegare Dualshock 4, Dualsense, controller Xbox One/Series X, tutti i controller 8bitdo incluso anche il modkit che sostituisce la scheda originale del controller gamecube e la rende senza fili (probabilmente ancora non arrivata in europa), e in generale tutti i controller che si connettano tramite bluetooth. Funziona anche con la wii. Insieme ad un adattatore hdmi economico, come il bitfunx (non disponibile al momento su amazon), e magari una modifica come il picoboot, è il modo definitivo per giocare al gamecube oggi.
