Flawed TV, but acceptable because of the price...
I kept getting a power fault with a flashing red to green power LED on switch on and off but changing my elderly gang of four has fixed that, I resolved that issue by typing the problem into Google for the solution. The over the airwaves Freeview HD image quality is very good. Streaming off a HD 4K Firestick also has very good image quality. The FreeviewPlay service I don't understand or doesn't work. The TV loses internet connection randomly even when I know the connection is solid on other equipment, this happens over both wireless and wired connection methods. The TV's user interface is hopeless, awful, terrible, a joke. I have to keep turning the TV on and off as, for example, although I might be solidly watching Channel 4 over the airwaves for a while, I then can't change channels or bring the TV guide up as the TV is unresponsive apart from showing the channel it's been on for a while. The TV doesn't pop or excite with Blu-Ray 4K UHD movies. Although it took my breath away with Playstation 5 Sniper Elite 5. The remote eats through new Duracell batteries like no one's business.

Reasonably priced and fairly easy to set up, with a little patience.
I had to replace an old TV that was delaminating and had slow, clunky old tech internet. The Panasonic was reasonably priced for 4K resolution, with decent connectivity at the back of the TV. I was almost put off by the reviews about set up but almost all of it worked first time by following the on-screen instructions, including the channel search. The worst part was setting up wifi connectivity, where it failed to connect and dropped the signal a few times before it eventually settled down. Similarly at first it was quite slow generally to start up and change channel etc, but this sped up after a short while and now it's quite normal. It's almost like it needed a while to wake up completely from its sleep in transit. Setting up some of the app accounts on the TV was assisted/sped up by using a separate phone or tablet to use in conjunction with the on-screen passcodes. Most of the TV apps you'd expect to see are to be found on the 'Freely' function, which has its own button on the remote. We also plug in a Roku dongle via HDMI for some subscription foreign language channels and this worked fine, the only upset being that when we first tested it, the TV sound cut out completely! A quick Google search showed this is a common issue with Panasonic TVs and the first suggested solution, to unplug from the mains for 60 seconds and restart, worked first time (memories of Windows 95!!), and so far no repeat. My wife complained that the screen was too bright, but it was a simple job to adjust the contrast via the Settings button on the remote. So all in all it's a 4.5 star rating due to those small teething issues, but otherwise I am very happy with it.

Good picture and sound.
Fairly easy to set up and by the second day I seem to have mastered all the controls.I use earphones a lot and it's easy to switch from TV to earphones without having to plug and unplug them each time, which I had to do with my old telly.I also have Sky Q, which it is easy to switch to. The only niggle is that although I can control Sky with my Sky remote, the volume and mute buttons on it don't work and I have to use the telly remote. Hopefully I'll find a way of resolving this.Otherwise, a great 50 inch smart TV for £399.

Product not fit for purpose. Too much time needed to rectify.
I had no idea how many important items would be missing. The vertical part of the stand together with screws were missing. Remote control and manual also missing. I didn't realise it but for less than an additional £20 I could have bought a new one, same model. To purchase the missing parts would cost more than £20, thats providing I could source the screws. It's a centre stand TV. I should have read the really small print where it said screws and other important parts may be missing. I subsequently did an instant return and purchased a new one. Last time I bought a television the screen was cracked. I had to buy another and wait for the refund. The same is happening now, I effectivly have to buy 2 televisions.
