Just Life Microwave Plate Spatter Cover Kitchen 10.2-inch

Such a simple item that makes a huge difference! I was getting seriously annoyed looking at my gross microwave with splatter all over the top and sides. I would clean it, but it would just happen again as my husband never covers anything that goes in there and I was only covering stuff maybe 50% of the time. If you are heating something "wet" you don't want a paper towel touching it and getting stuck, but if you use cling wrap or plastic wrap, most of the time it just melts away into your food any way. I only had a few dishes with matching lids for the microwave, so I was ready to try something else.At first, I was going to look into the ones with the magnet on top that you can leave in the microwave, but then I was reading the odd review about sparks and mini fires starting from them and decided I didn't want to deal with that--repeatedly microwaving a magnet didn't sound like a good idea any way, so I just went with this plastic lid.It is the perfect size for our regular large dinner plates and covers everything so there is no chance for splatter--plus I noticed if I immediately take the dirty lid over the sink after removing it from the microwave and run warm water over it, just about anything will come right off of it immediately and its ready to use again. This way you don't really have to "wash" it every single time--though soap and water did magic for it too.This is a great item and I absolutely love having a clean microwave for once. Plus its pretty cheap, definitely worth it!

Accidentally melted the first one by setting it on a hot oven. Love it so much, I bought the same one. The size and shape works really well for it's intended purpose. I had one before that was flat on the top (not the dome) and if I put it on something that had cheese or sauce or the like, it would cook to the top of the cover. And the old one had a handle on the top and I would constantly burn myself with steam :(

After six months of use I a sold on this. Other, smaller covers exist but they don't fit over my bowls. This never touches my food, which I appreciate. The steam vent adjuster and handle also are a great tool in burn prevention. I live alone so only need one as I use it maybe once a day. It hasn't stained, broken, shown any real wear. The handle is a bit loose but not enough to cause significant issues.

2. This is my second order -- I burned the first one up (couldn't get rid of the burnt order), and loved it so much, I immediately ordered another.1. I had recently burned (steam) my hand several times with my microwave cover, and spotted this one in a catalog. Looked for it on Amazon, found it, and ordered it. I've only had the cover for about 5 days, but REALLY like it. It's easy to grab (even if it's facing backward when you open the door) and large enough to cover my Fiestaware plates. Thank you for coming up with a "better mousetrap!"

I found this product better than any other similar products that I used before. Especially, I like the location of the handle (on the side as opposed to on the top) as we access to the plate in the microwave from the door on the side. Also I like the variable vent (closed, half open, full open). With closed position, this can be used as plate cover as well as spatter cover, etc.

Received the microwave plate cover today and very disappointed!! TRhe plastic handle will NOT stay on the cover. When I lift it by the handle the portion that fits into the hole towards the top comes out VERY easily!!! Guess I will send back and try another brand.

I love that it's the perfect size and height to make sure the microwave cover doesn't touch food however after about 2 uses, the handle started to pop out when I used it to remove the cover. You have to be very gentle to prevent the handle from popping out of the cover.

So happy to find a high clearance microwave cover! In the past, the cover was too low and kept touching the food. So we often used the microwave without a cover and made a mess. Now, everyone is happy to use it.The orange handle seems flimsy, but it has last us 9 months so far with no problem.

This cover came with the handle off. It was really easy to put on and so far it has stayed on. It is not loose. It is really easy to clean, now if I could just get my husband to use it every time my microwave would be cleaner!

Unfortunately the handle does not fit on to the lid. I have to return it. It was a Christmas gift, but not now.

This is a truly great dome cover. Provides lot's of space. Has good venting or can close for better steaming. The only issue it that the handle doesn't stay attached well. However, the easy fix is to glue it -- epoxy is best. The picture shows an orange handle; mine came black, which I prefer, but makes no difference actually.

I never write a review unless I can give 5 stars with a detailed outline of my personal experience. I'm making an exception for this product.It's awful. With only one hole at the top, it steams your food instead of reheating. The handle fell off after a few days. Yes, it was snapped in place. By day 3 it was in the recycling bin.

I bought this because I have one like it I purchased from a different site. This one is terrible. The handle keeps coming off. So I threw it away. Just not safe to use.

This is great to avoid microwave messes. It is tall enough and wide enough to fit LOTS of items. And for items that bubble and/or pop, it's easy to clean and keeps the microwave clean. Simple, elegant, coat-effective solution!!
