Does this watch have a countdown timer? Like if you set it for 20mins and then it will make a noise?

No. This watch appears to have more features than it does. It pretty much just tell time. If it does other things, it lacks an owners manual and instructions for it.

How do you switch to 12 hour time?

Can it be a gift for kids?

Yes! I bought it as a back-to-school gift for my ten-year-old grandson, and he loves it! never take it off, and often tell me the time.
