Complementary Prescriptions - Mastic Gum/DGL 60 chew wafers

Prompt delivery and product is legitimate. Has helped my stomach repair slowly over time and consistent use of was recommended by my well trained dietician. Tho still my tummy still has issues and sensitivity, I can at least eat without nausea and instant pain/bloating. Taken 30 min before and eat meals with HCL pills. Occasionally will take another two mastic tablets about hour after if stomach is too acidic and def helps relieve through the night

If you have digestive issues -- heartburn, indigestion, painful gas, or just discomfort from eating too much -- this is the greatest stuff. My son was very sick for many years, his doctor strongly recommended this particular item, (at that time the bottle was marked as "CeaseFire" by this highly reputable company, Complementary Prescriptions) and THIS was the only supplement I would hear my son recommending to others for belly pain and discomfort. I would not be without it. I crushed it up and stirred it in to a bit of applesauce for my son, but when I need it, I can just sort of break it up with my teeth and then take a big drink of water, swallowing the broken-down pieces without actually chewing the wafer....it doesn't taste very good, but it also tends to stick to your teeth if you were to chew it all up, which really is not necessary. We swallow whole pills, and foods in much larger pieces, so that's what I would recommend. I definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this. My son was able to stop taking Nexium, using this instead. It is GREAT STUFF for ulcers, his doctor even told us.My medicine cabinet is never without it.

I have taken DGL for years. Unfortunately, the brand that I have always used has changed their ingredient blend. Also, my local stores are having difficulty getting it now. I decided to try this brand/blend. It is barely palatable. Two of us have tried it and could barely get it down. The minute you bite into it, you get the very strong taste of mastic gum, which, while being a WONDERFUL solution to gastric issues, tastes like chewing pine tar. There is no hint of cinnamon flavor at all. If you are able to chew it long enough, you will eventually get the bitter taste of pure DGL. I also found that it did not help the heartburn; in fact, I think it made it a bit worse. I am a certified herbalist and I truly believe in these blends. I cannot recommend this particular product, however. I'm sad that I spend $35 on something that I won't be able to use or even give away.
