Wow, great book on perspective!
I had his book, "Perspective Made Easy" which I consider very useful. This book by him is even better. You might want both as he explains things more in the first, and illustrates concepts more in this one. They complement each other very nicely. If you want to get a handle on drawing in perspective from imagination, I recommend getting both.

The best
This Norling book was givent o me by my Grandfather in the 70's, and I became an artist for Disney drawing for Hercules, Mulan, The Emperor's new Groove, Treasure Planet, Enchanted, Princess and the Frog and more. I have done over 5000 perspective drawings at Disney, and never needed any other book than this.

Depending on your intent this book is either great or meh
The usefulness of this book entirely depends on your purpose. If you are trying to teach yourself perspective or need a supplemental guide this book is great! If however you are interested in the theories and origins behind linear perspective, it is a bit light. In essence the book has a minimum of text, instead it has copious how-to diagrams.

Must-have for learning perspective
This book gives easy to understand explanations and illustrations for basic and some more advanced perspective concepts. It is concise enough to not overwhelm one, but thorough enough to give an artist a good foundation in linear perspective. As I tell my students, learning linear perspective will help their artwork look more believable and will help them correct problems when their work doesn't look quite right. I highly recommend this book.

Very Good Tutorial on Perspective!
This skill does not come easily for me, but I am finding this book and the one from Grumbaucher (1968; The Art of Perspective Drawing) are quite helpful. They are comprehensive and easy to understand. I am taking my time and learning quite a lot, which is exciting to me as I really want to improve my drawing so my paintings look better. I haven't found a modern book that is nearly so helpful!

great book, terrible shipping
This is a wonderful book. Look beyond the quant dated appearance, you will see most everything a young artist needs to know about perspective is packed into these 40 pages. An extreme value and a "must have" for anyone interested in perspective sketching. So many books offer what amounts to lackluster, weak sauce rehashing of the essence of what Ernest Norling has so skillfully laid down. The old timers, Andrew Loomis, George Bridgeman, Robert Oliver deliver this information with illustrious clarity. These guys hit the point, everyone else is reframing the same topic, not really adding much in terms of content or style. The knucklehead who sold me the book packed it like a walmart flyer so this precious relic got pretty tweeked in transit. I'll probably pick up another one and hope for a gentler delivery.

Sehr gut
