OtterBox Defender Series MagSafe Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max,Blue

A very good and sturdy case for my base 17. Price is on the higher side above OEM cases but it is for sure worth it and bulk is for the people who like it. I’ve had no issues with camera controls as people say so everything’s good.

Very very poor. Iphone 17 pro max. I have the green with orange trim and its a really nice looking case. Its feels really well made and i suspect the drop protection is excellent. But sadly it has several terrible design flaws. The camera button that is new on the 17 is far too sensitive. The sensitivity extends to the area around the button and not just the button itself. I have had to disable this button in settings as it activates constantly when handling the phone normally. The case is also less than snug in other areas and creaks and moves a little. All in all, this case has been rushed out and is not fit for purpose.

Definitely it’s not a cheap phone case, but it’s worth it. Don’t waste your money on cheap ones, If you really want to protect your phone.

This OtterBox case has still showed its robustness in area areas it does cover at the time. Unfortunately as the camera plateau is not covered, it did not protect my phone from this dent I have caused by pressure by an object outside when it was inside my pocket earlier. Not blaming OtterBox for this as it is my fault for not realising how delicate this area of the phone actually was and would’ve further protected it if I knew. Just would like to let OtterBox know on future designs to cover this area on this and future models please thanks. If this happened about a year or so of owning this phone I wouldn’t care too much but on day 2 of handing a £1200 phone, yea… Again, not blaming OtterBox, just giving them a suggestion and letting customers know that they may need to buy an additional accessory to cover that area. Would buy again, and a camera protector at the same time!

Good but quality could be a little bit better. Only had it 6 months but the rubber outer is already pulled and loose from the rest of the case from using it with a MagSafe charger. Offers great drop protection and at a price you’d expect from Otterbox for this item.

I have tested many iPhone cases for Amazon but none equals the Otterbox Defender when it comes to providing ultimate protection. I therefore decided to purchase a new Defender when I bought my iPhone 16 Pro as I have used one for all of my iPhones since the iPhone X was released. This case is even better than the previous Defender I used with my iPhone 14 Pro as it features a nicely textured exterior that is easy to grip. I have tested the case by using on many 20 km hikes and have found it far easier to hold than any of the other cases. It is easy to remove by peeling off the outer layer and unclipping the inner two-part case at the 5 attachment points. I was a little concerned that the new generation features MagSafe in case the magnets interfered with the built-in compass in the iPhone. I use this when hiking to find directions - other cases with built in magnets such as magnetic clips for wallet cases can play havoc with the compass. I contacted the Otterbox company before purchase for reassurance - they responded within 24 hours to say that they had tested the system. I am pleased to say that the iPhone compass worked perfectly when encased in the Otterbox Defender MagSafe. Even better, this case works perfectly with 3rd party MagSafe accessories for charging or attaching a compact wallet. The only criticism that some have made is the cut-out to allow access to the camera button. In practice, this works well and makes it even easier to hold the iPhone. There is a theoretical risk that the iPhone could land directly on the unprotected button but I think this has a low probability. Unlike any other button on iPhone, it is not possible to engineer an external button to press on this touch-sensitive, multi-function strip. Overall, this case is the best iPhone 16 Pro case I have used and can strongly recommend it.

Meh, I’ve been using otter box cases since I was 14, this case is nothing special, it seems like these cases have completely lost their uniqueness. It’s shabby, doesn’t fit the phone properly, and is currently getting worse. The second plastic case which fits over the harder case is becoming loose and falling off, the actual hard case which goes on first can be pulled apart from the phone. It just feels like it doesn’t fit the phone at all. It makes horrible squeaking and cracking noises when you hold your phone, it’s been quite disappointing so far. You’ll also need an extra camera protector added because this offers little to no protection for the 3 cameras the iPhone 17 pro max offers. This just feels like any old rubbish case I could buy for £5.

One of the best Otterbox cases I’ve owned so far - protects my phone well considering I tend to drop my phone a lot.
