I found this useful for my outdoor plunge tub. It did keep it from getting that slime layer. I found when I ran out, Slime formed fairly quickly after the 1 week mark.

I have used other products that did not work.This is amazing. Keeps in crystal clear. Now I have to remember to put lid on the tub. Keep out all the flowers and leaves.Worth it.
