Excellent magsafe 2230 M.2 ssd, get the updated "Pro" version
This is a well built and made iPhone accessory. I added a 2230 SSD and got about 900mbs read/write.It came with two cords and it fits perfectly with my iPhone. Just remember to reformat your ssd to be able to read on an iPhone too. APFS for files and Exfat for high end iPhone video recording or Exfat for a Android. There is an accessory you can buy to cool it but so far it's been cool after usage. I love that it has a magnet on the front and back so that you can still add your magsafe accessories too. A USB c power pass through is a nice touch also.***Update***I upgraded to the Pro version that has three USB c outlets, this is for the USB c fan that they make, so that it can get powered along with the SSD. Works perfectly!

Perfect storage option for ProRes 422 HQ
This thing is awesome! Works perfectly on iPhone 16 Pro recording in ProRes 422 HQ. No issues or drops. Keep in mind; use the provided USB-C cable or equivalent. Some cables will not allow the correct transfer speeds. That’s where you will see issues recording in apps like BlackMagic Camera app and such.I see negative reviews saying folks couldn’t get it to connect to devices. It needs to be formatted using your disk utility in Windows or macOS. ExFAT is the format that allows Read and Write functions. Just a simple search on Google will tell you this. It’s not the Device that’s the issue, it’s the NVMe drive that needs the formatting. Its price point is right on! It’s super simple to use and get connected. It it’s not ugly or in the way.

Compact size and good consturction
I bought a similar product from another brand before, but it was too big that it rides on the ridge of my camera bump (i have a 16 pro) it won't be an issue for pro max, but here we areThe magnet is strong but not stubborn, even keeping it on the phone all day will fatigue my arm too fast. The power pass thru is also good so I can access/transfer files while charge, although doing both will make them hotThe bent cable is another good tough, keeping the overall footprint small and compactThe top of the enclosure is still magsafe compatible, meaning any popsocket or stand will still work, adding another layer of confidence while using it on the go

Versatile, Multi USB-C Ports, Dual Magnetism, Capacitor
I have a very specific need, for phone videography, and this product, the pro version, fits the bill.1) I needed to extend the capacity of my phone, that no longer supports micro SD cards. This can support up to 2TB in a small form factor.2) I need it to support charging or else I'd have to disconnect to charge the phone. This one has a 100w PD port.3) I need to be able to connect a my headphone via a USB-C, and this device has an extra USB-C port for just that. In fact, I can probably use this port to connect a microphone to enhance my videos.4) I need it to be able to physically mount to my phone, and this device has MAGNETS in the Magsafe form factor so I can simply attach it to my phone with a magsafe ring.5) I need to be able to mount my phone to a tripod, and this device has a iron plate that can be mounted to a magnetic magsafe mini tripod. You know why this is important? I can use a video / tripod handle with magsafe to steadily hold my phone. With the thickness of this device, I can't use those phone clamps with an arca foot anymore.6) It has a capacitor that can keep the harddrive running for another 10 seconds to finalize the harddrive shutdown, in case of a power outage. Yeah, that might be important to reduce data corruption.Love it! Searching for a product that fits all of the bills is extremely hard and I'm glad I found it.

Epic fail
When I say "pure garbage", I mean it literally. That's where this enclosure is going. When connected to either my MacBook Pro or my iPad Pro, it will transfer files for maybe five minutes before it just gives up and disconnects from the host. It would be tempting to conclude I just got a bad one. But the same thing happens with two different enclosures, the Pro version and the Lite version. Hagibis support hasn't even bothered to respond to my request for help. The enclosure works long enough to run tests. Using the Blackmagic Speed Test app on my M1 Max MacBook Pro, I consistently achieved speeds of around 950 MB/s write and 900 MB/sec read using a Crucial P310 2TB M.2 2230 SSD. The Crucial SSD works well with the iPhone, never creating an excessive power draw which would cause the phone to shut it down. (Note that the max speed is limited by the enclosure. The SSD itself is much faster.)It must be said that the enclosure creates the strongest MagSafe bond I've every experienced. It is not going to come off the phone accidentally. And it is MagSafe on both sides, making it easy to attach to an iPhone and also to attach another MagSafe accessory to it—a cooling fan or a MagSafe battery pack, for example. But does it matter if the enclosure fails at its main function? No, it does not.Obviously, I'm not going to recommend this product. It's bad enough that it doesn't work. What's worse is that the company doesn't care. I'd give this thing zero stars if I could. That goes for Hagibis support too.

Great accessory, could use better thermal management
Great accessory for capturing ProRes on iPhone, but thermal performance could be better. I installed a Corsair MP600 Mini 2230 SSD, placed the included thermal pads above and below the SSD, but still noticed that the SSD was getting so hot that it was uncomfortable to hold during recording. The size is great, it’s super easy to fit in your pocket while traveling and the included magnetic sticker for attaching to other accessories is super cool.

Does Not Work on iPhone 17 Pro
This device works extremely well on my iPhone 16 Pro, I've been making good use of it for about a month now.But plug it into my IPhone 17 Pro, and... nothing. The SSD doesn't show up, no power gets passed through from the PD port, nothing. It's like I didn't plug anything into the iPhone at all.It still works fine on my iPhone 16 Pro, I have both devices right next to each other right now. It's only on the iPhone 17 Pro that it refuses to work.So... pretty disappointing.
