homekit
This MK1 smart lock works flawlessly with Apple HomeKit and THREAD. Setup was easy with my HomeKit hub, and it syncs perfectly with the Home app. I love the convenience of unlocking with my fingerprint, passcode, or iPhone remotely. It’s perfect for my office door, and the titanium finish looks sleek and modern. The build feels solid, and response time is quick. Just keep in mind it’s iOS only, but if you’re in the Apple ecosystem, this is one of the best smart interior locks available. Totally worth it for the seamless integration and security.

Solid and reliable lock, works well for indoor use.
We put this lock on the master bedroom door. Helpful because we have young kids and prefer not to leave that door open for them to go exploring in there, regardless of whether the wife and I are in there or not. With any key lock, it would be much more challenging, but just putting our fingerprint on the knob while turning it works very well and is super convenient. The HomeKit function is very important to us as well as we run a smart home with some 80 devices or so all together. The connectivity has be flawless, and the response time to inputs whether physically or by the app is very quick. Doesn't happen often, but I can be sitting on the couch and if someone needs to go into the room I can just hit the button on my phone to unlock it without getting up.Installation was simple as well. And always great to have a key code backup in case the fingerprint doesn't work or someone who doesn't have their print saved needs to have access.

Easy installation and it just works
Received and installed the same day. So pleased to pick this up on sale. I tried to install with the original door plate that was painted over, but had to do a little bit of sanding and installed the new door plate and everything lined right up. All lock features, the app, and HomeKit integration worked the first time without fail. I would rank the ease of installation very high for this product. Its premium and just works. The next step, develop a door handle trust turns itself :)

Fast, ReliableApple Himekit Lock
I’ve been using the ThorBolt HomeKit lock on my garage entrance door, and it’s been working great. The fingerprint sensor responds quickly and accurately—no need to fumble with keys. The handle is well-designed, feels solid, and is easy to turn and open.I really like the fast and stable connection over THREAD. It integrates smoothly with Apple HomeKit and responds instantly, whether I use automations or unlock it from the Home app. Much better than Bluetooth or Wi-Fi locks I’ve used before.Overall, this lock is secure, convenient, and well-built. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem and want something fast and dependable, this is a great choice

work as expected
At first I thought I can use my apple watch to open the door by just touching. But it can integrate only homekit, not wallet app. It's cumbersome to open the app whenever I open the door. So mainly I use fingerprint sensor to open it. It recognize my finger almost instantly.I live in Korea and the standard for the door lock is different from US, I used converter for installing. Except that, installation is quick and easy.

Both brawn and brains — secured at your fingertips
The media could not be loaded. As smart-home enthusiast yet also a longtime apartment renter, the world of smart locks and doorbell cameras has always been somewhat out of reach for me, between frequent moves or restrictive lease terms. Plus, in the past, there weren’t many Apple HomeKit-compatible smart locks that weren’t deadbolt locks — until recently. So as soon as I found out about the Thorbolt MK1, I wanted to delve in to my first smart lock experience.Design and features:Beyond being cleverly named, it is my opinion that this is one of the nicest looking door handle/lock combinations, especially given all that it’s trying to accomplish within its footprint. It’s modern and solid in both look and feel, and though it’s not designed to be a deadbolt, the fit and finish of the lock feels secure - exactly what I want from the great protector of my belongings, ThorBolt. While they keypad layout is not in the traditional 3 x 3 number layout, and its vertical placement on front of the external handle doesn’t feel intuitive at first try, I don’t know where else it would go, but it doesn’t bother me at all because the fingerprint sensor is perfectly located and each time I reached for the handle I was able to get a comfortable and natural grasp and perfectly placed finger for a reading. The lock has quite a bit of features, but as I’ll be using it unlocked the majority of the time, I won’t benefit from the customizable ‘auto-lock’ timeout or the really neat ‘anti-peep’ feature, which allows the user to input their access code along with extra numbers before or after their code in order to lessen the chance for wandering eyes to catch or memorize the actual access code. Features like these go beyond its solid build quality to demonstrate that ThorBolt is both brawn and brains — and that’s how it’s gaining my confidence in its abilities along the way.Setup:Being new to smart locks — albeit not to smart-home devices, I can attest that setting up ThorBolt into the Apple Home app is as easy as it gets. Once in, the fingerprint registering happens in the Sleekpoint iOS app, with added peace of mind in knowing that recorded fingerprint data is only store locally on the users iOS device — another way ThorBolt lets me rest assured. While I got stuck in the process of steps for registering fingerprints on my first attempt, Sleekpoint’s customer service team was exceptionally quick and helpful in sorting me out. In retrospect, I probably was too excited to test it out that I was skipping some necessary setup steps. So while the accompanying user manual is rather extensive, as a first time user of a smart lock, I now appreciate the detailed information that helped me learn the steps to as successful setup and the features of my new lock. The lock relies on 4-AA batteries in order for the fingerprint-reading magic to happen on the device, and while I was a bit surprised to discover that the batteries themselves aren’t included with the product, I’ve recently purchased from Amazon battery-operated products that arrived with dead or in-the-red batteries — likely from sitting in a warehouse for an extended period of time. So after thinking it through, I believe that with a product tasked with something as important as securing access to parts of my home, I actually prefer having control over ensuring I have purchased new batteries and from a brand I trust.Use Cases:Having recently moved to a new apartment and a new city means new visitors in the home; and though making new friends as a grown up is challenging as it is, but now I can I sit back and chat with new faces and not wonder if new faces have idle hands. Down the road I see this door lock (and perhaps others for other doors) being useful for giving access to trusted friends while out of town or ensuring valuables are locked up when I get an alert that building maintenance enters my apartment while I’m out for the day. As a pet owner in a new city, I’ll have to open my doors to a new cat sitter in the foreseeable future, and I can already see ThorBolt coming in handing either allowing or denying — or even a combination of the two — access to certain areas of the apartment to a new cat sitter while on holiday.Summary:I’ve only just begun exploring the ways Thorbolt can integrate with my current smart-home setup, but I’m looking forward to setting up different automations based on the opening and closing of the lock, and while I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the look of the black color against the white of my doors, if and when the door lock comes out in a stainless steel finish, I won’t hesitate to purchase another ThorBolt.

Excellent fingerprint reader
I have a room that is mine, all mine and I don't want anyone in there so I put one of these locks on the door. The fingerprint reader makes it easy to open without keys, which is very convenient. The quality of the fingerprint reader is also excellent. It's not finicky like some of the others, where you have to place your finger perfectly on the reader for it to work. With this one, if you touch your fingerprint in a reasonable good alignment, it just works. No readjusting your finger required. The oval shape of the knob is also helpful. Not a game changer, but it makes the nob easier to turn, which is nice. Installation and setup were pretty easy, and it works
