Lotr + 7 wonders = awesomeness
7 wonders is the most played game in our house so when they decided to match it with my favourite IP, it was an easy decision. The gameplay is excellent, fun mechanisms which make sense with the theme. Good quality components. Good price too.

Super Fun, Great Value for Money!
First, the quality of the pieces and everything inside is fantastic and well designed for the price (£27.99 at the time of review). The card illustrations are beautiful, and as a fan of LOTR, they are a joy to look at. The game is fun and very repayable. It's a spin on 7 Wonders Duel, so if you enjoyed that, then this only adds to the original. Overall, well worth a buy for any fans of 2 player games.

Kinds of slow start, but much better once you understand the rules...
I played this at Christmas with my son who is a big tabletop gamer and understands all these sorts of things better than I! The first run through of the game was slow and laborious, and required many frequent trips to the instructions. The instructions were not bad, and there is a link to a good video online also, but it's still a lot to process. Once you have played once, subsequent games are much better flowing and quite fast moving. The quality of the board and pieces etc is great, not premium not not at all skimpy and thin plastic/card etc. It's a lot of fun to play, and if you have an LOTR nerd in your house, then they (like I) will enjoy the setting. It says 2 player, but was easy to play on 2 teams of 2, collaborating on the best strategy with a teammate etc. Really enjoyed it, and also enjoyed the compact box size - easy to store!

One of my favourite two player games
Fun game that is quick to pick up and quick to play. Usually play a couple of rounds.Love the artworkGameplay will feel familiar if you have played 7 wonders but this offers a different spin on it.

Game is good but in-box storage is a disaster
Game is good and exciting for players of both sides, however the in-box storage is really badly designed, tokens and cards will leave their position and scatter all around the box if you don't put it flat on the shelf.

Clearly designed by LOTR fans
This is equally as good as 7 wonders duel, if not better. The Lord of the rings theme justifies all the mechanics and the art is beautiful. My wife is. It huge into board games but loves Lord of the rings and she adores playing this.

A crowd pleaser for those who love strategy
Great game absorbing lots to think about during your own and opponents go. Endless strategy increasingly strategies are played to impact opponent. Improvements on set up from Duel regular. A short but intense game . Around 30mins. Artwork instant hit for some a grower for others. Definite value for money
