Two questions please - Is this product deep and with boxed edges as show in the photo? And does it last, or compress down (if so how long a life?)

Mine is the same as in the photo. It does compress down a bit as it is designed to but is still as comfortable as when I first bought it. It is only 5cm (2 inches) thick - the photo gives the impression it is thicker. A thicker topper would prevent most fitted sheets from fitting so it can't be too thick.

Well it is very large ( I bought a king size) so it won't fit into a conventional washing machine. A single size may fit into a larger machine 9kg perhaps. I have washed a single before it survived but it wasn't quite so 'plump' afterwards.

Is this ok to put over an electric blanket or will it cause problems? would you still be able to feel the heat, or could the electric blanket overhe

I once put a mattress topper (not this one) over an electric blanket, and nearly set the bed on fire. The heat was able to build up and I certainly singed the mattress quite badly and ruined it and was lucky to find it before great harm was done. I have put an electric blanket OVER the mattress topper successfully. I emphasise that it was not this mattress topper, but going on my own experience, I add my comments here.

Amazing

Topper was purchased to go on a sofabed, it fits perfectly, the corner straps are long enough to accommodate the sofa and hold the topper in place. It is very soft, fluffy to touch & dense folds up easy for storage. Would recommend.

Comfortable mattress topper

This topper comes packed compressed and they advise vigorously shaking it and/or putting it in dryer for a little while (I did 5 mins) and then leaving it to fluff up for 48 hours. Do it! Once on the bed it's like sleeping on a cloud and you never want to get up 😆

Comfy

Nice cover that seems well made but slightly smaller than a double bed. Ended up with it exposing a couple of inches each side of the mattress. Also compacted fairly quickly and needs regular plumping

I didn't do as it says on the sheet you get with this(needed asp) and I'm still satisfied. Super cosy and comfortable, really happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend, I put it on top of a much thinner mattress topper. I was having severe back pain prior and this seems to have helped a great deal.
