Waited to write a review after some continued use. Installation for under sink use takes some very creative plumbing , but it can be done. Ive had this in use for a few weeks now. Its performed very well. It self cleans with brushes when you empty the trap using the valve. It cleans fast and clear. It definitely works and blocks a lot of minerals. I out it in line with a standard water filter as well. Water is better than bottled water. It looks great, easy to clean, proven filtration.

Great for well water where you may pickup sand or other larger sediment. This will save your single use filters from having to be changed as often. Simple installation with male 1" fittings on each side.

Works, but stopped spinning and cleaning itself after a month. Clogs weekly and doesn't backflush, have to take apart fully to clean filter otherwise particles get stuck. Leak from purge valve switch on bottom but only when turning it on to drain. Replacing with large Waterdrop version with backwash. Maybe ok for appliances if installed in lead with them alone but I used it as whole home filter.

This should be noted as being sold for those needing a replacement unit, as these are no longer manufactured. You cannot obtain spare parts nor replacement screens anymore. Otherwise, very well made and would likely work fine. But, follow the manufacturers website and use their upgraded model and you will be glad you did.

Edit: because of great customer service, I got a full refund, no questions asked. It was still a PITA to install and realize it was useless. Installed yesterday, cleaned / flushed out about ten times already, and still I get maybe 1gpm flow. I get that there's *some* sand coming up from my well pump, but it's not really an abnormal amount. This filter might work for just your sink, if you're concerned about drinking sediment... But it definitely is useless as a whole house filter, which is what it is advertised as. The fittings are fine, by the way, despite what others may say. Very easy to install and cool design.

Great filter design, particularly the rotating filter wipe system and convenient back flush. Above all, outstanding customer support - Andrew addressed my question within in a day and then followed up after a few days with an email to assure to my issue was fully resolved. Highly recommend Waterdrop!

Missing parts but the overall product looked good

Got this for some washing machines at work that were constantly plugging up. Has been a game changer. Very good design with the auto cleaning brush. Just need to manually flush once a month or even less depending on sediment
