Great!
This rack is really great--I got it not only for groceries, etc., but also for transporting my dog. It is pretty easy to attach to my rack, but I did need to unscrew one of the brackets on the bottom and re-attach it one notch closer to center, because it was way too loose otherwise. Also, although I have found this rack to be sturdy for what it is, I also had the rack fly off one time when I was going very fast downhill and hit a rough bumpy patch (thank god my dog wasn't in it!). So now I use a few reusable plastic ties to attach the basket to the rack whenever my dog is in it. But other than that one time, I haven't had a problem with the rack falling off. The mesh that it is made of is really sturdy as well.

What I needed
It is just the right size for my Westie to go along on bike rides. I had a lot of problems with the spring loaded clamp as it kept coming off. I have to use thread lock on it and now is fine. Because my Westie is heavy I use more attachments what came with it.

So Far So Good
I recently put a bike rack on my daughters bike but still needed a basket so I ordered this one that was recommended on a YouTube video. My biggest concern was the quick release connection to the bike rack as it seems almost every review mentions this but I ordered anyway. The basket took me just a few seconds to install on the bike rack. I did not need to make any adjustments and seems very secure. Now of course I understand you would need a compatible bike rack. My rack is a Blackburn Lighted Rear Rack that I bought at Walmart for $25. This seems like a pretty standard rack and rated at 45LB weight capacity. The outer bars that connect to the basket quick release are not too thick probably like a quarter to half inch thick which works well with the quick release on the basket. My daughter and her friend will be using this basket for groceries so I will update this review as I get feedback from my daughter and her friend. The basket looks great. I gave this review 4 stars as everything is good but would like positive feedback after it is used and I will adjust the rating :)

As advertised
This basket is exactly as described and as commented on by many purchasers. The only limitation I found is that the spring-loaded clamp that holds the basket onto the rack beneath it is designed for a narrower tube than that on my bike, so the connection isn't as strong as it could be. I think that is a function of the rear rack on my bike, in that the rack I have has a larger tube that slides over a smaller tube which can be used to extend the length of the rack toward the rear of the bicycle. I think the clamp on the basket would work well on the smaller tube. This may not be a factor on most other bikes.

Buy this product at your own risk! Poor Mounting Mechanism and Lousy Customer Support!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING AXIOM MARKET LX REAR BASKET due to POOR DESIGN and LOUSY CUSTOMER SUPPORT - The basket itself is sturdy, however the mounting mechanism is very poorly designed. I specifically purchased my rear rack and basket from Axiom so that I could be sure that they would mount properly. Unfortunately, due to the poor design of the "universal mount", no matter how many adjustments I made, the basket always had some "give" - it would wobble side to side at least 1/2 to 3/4 inch... I rode it this was for 4 months and learned to live with it... THEN one day the basket just fell off... I determined that one of the 4 plastic end pieces had come unscrewed and just fell off, along with the small spring. I thought, well, no problem, I'll just contact AXIOM and ask them about getting a replacement (The spring and end piece can't cost AXIOM more than 25 cents!) So I contacted AXIOM customer support from their website and it took 10 days to get a response... and the response was that I had to contact the dealer... So I contacted the dealer, who I must say did respond quickly, and they indicated that they would check with AXIOM... After a month, they indicated that they could never get AXIOM to respond. So now I have a $40 basket that's 6 months old, but worthless because the manufacturer is unwilling to support their product and provide a way for me to get replacement parts. DO NOT BUY AXIOM PRODUCTS - THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE!

This basket is OKAY
Although the basket itself is durable, the clamps that hold the basket on the back of your bike is not very strong. I would prefer an option to weave some plastic "zip ties" through the bottom of the basket to keep it more "solidly" tight to the back rack. It jiggles around a lot. Also, the two handles are not removeable. This makes it difficult to take the basket on and off the rack.

Great bike basket!
My husband bought this bike basket and uses it to carry things when he rides to work, and with our son on the weekends. It's a great basket, very sturdy and easy to take on and off the bike. Love that it has handles and reflective light. Great and useful item!

Works Well
I put this basket on my summer bike and it works great. I always got on a bike ride in the morning and this basket allows me to do grocery shopping.

Perfect, big grocery basket for my needs
This basket is great, it's nice and big and easy to take on and off, I'm not sure why some people think it's hard to take on and off, maybe they aren't using it right. All you do is line up the clamps onto one side of the rack, then pull the clamps on over the other side of the rack, and to take it off, pull out the clamps and it's off.I searched for rear bike rack baskets all over my town, but none of them were big like this, and they also mounted sideways for some reason, not lengthways and narrow like this one is.If you have a narrow rack, you can adjust the screws to make it fit tighter. It's a perfect grocery basket for grocery shopping. I was using pannier bags on my bike for getting groceries but found them to be really irritating (I hate digging through bags to locate items, their clips would get caught on everything and I didn't like having to fit groceries into the bags.) This basket makes shopping super easy, literally just pile everything into it and I'm all set. It's a fine mesh design so that small things won't fall through it.It is more than suitable for carrying small dogs too.It has very durable metal but is also light enough to carry around, at least for me. My basket is capable of holding tons of groceries just fine. My rack itself can hold up to 50 pounds, so the basket is more than enough to carry the heaviest loads.I have a step through cruiser bike, so I don't have to worry about having to lift my leg over the basket to get on the bike. But given that the basket is quite high, that might be something you should consider if you don't have a step through bike.I especially love the handles, because they are designed to be stiff yet flexible, so that if you have a bunch of gear in the back that you don't want flying away, the handles can actually be used to hold it down. That way I don't have to use annoying straps. I also love that the basket is designed to be lower near the seat for wide clearance, and also the ability to put a light on the back. It doesn't come with a light, but it has a reflected logo there, which is good for at night. The reason why some people experience slight wobbles with this is because the holes in the bracket are larger than the rods that stick through it, and the clamps are about an inch down from the bottom of the basket so basically it's designed to fit thicker racks. But if you have a thin rack like mine, all you have to do is put something underneath the basket that will increase the thickness of the rack to press against the rods to keep them still. That will create a tight seal and prevent all wobbling. For example, I literally just put a piece of baseboard trim under the basket before I clamp it onto the rack. The baseboard trim is white so it even matches my bike and looks good. It's the same general idea as folding up a piece of paper under a wobbly table leg.
