This lightweight light has made a huge impact in my sewing room. Most areas in my sewing room are well light minus one corner where my serger and coverstitch machines are located. This light illuminates the table and the machines making everything easier to see. I love this simple, elegant lamp, and I have found myself moving it all around the house, especially during these short, dark days! Once put together, the lamp feels graceful and solid, and looks nice anywhere I have put it. For some time, I have wanted a low-profile floor lamp that is easy to relocate and allows easy and free adjustment of the angle and intensity of the light, as well as offering the option to switch to different color temperatures. This is exactly what I have found in this lamp. I am very happy with the operations and quality of the light produced as well as the different color temperatures and light levels. The rocker switch operation is simple: One switch for the 2 light modes and one switch for the 2 brightness options plus off. The slender light head is almost 12-inches long and produces an even, un-flickering and pleasant light. I really like the long LED light. The adjustable arm is also about 12-inches long and allows unlimited directional adjustment. I am loving that I can point the light in any direction at any angle. I have found the lamp to be stable when using it, even while bending the adjustable arm around and around to find where I want it. While the lamp is light and compact, the tripod feet keep it from rocking or tipping. The assembly was very fast and simple. There are three height configurations it could be assembled to: 2-foot, 3-1/2 foot and about 5-1/2 foot configurations. This is a great feature! I assembled it to 5-1/2 feet. In this configuration, from the floor to the tip of the light is about 6-feet in a straight line. The plug is, of course, a standard USB-A plug and requires a USB outlet or adaptor (not included), which I have in abundance. The cable is about 5-1/2 feet long, with the switch control sitting about 8-inches from where the cable connects to the lamp. This puts the switch about 27-inches from the floor with the 5-1/2 foot configuration. For me this puts the switch exactly at the perfect height for using it from the bed, where I use it for reading. I am very happy with the lamp and would not hesitate to purchase another for myself or for someone else.

I was looking for a small, lightweight, packable floorlamp for reading, as I have discovered over years of travel that light in most hotel rooms, condos, etc. Is designed usually for ambiance and not for reading. I am in my mid- 70's and need a good strong reading light. After trying many options including carrying my own light bulbs to replace the dimmer ones in lamps (!), and trying headlamps, too uncomfortable for any length of time, too focused on a "spot", and needing to be recharged or new batteries, I sought a floor lamp to take along. It had to be very quick and easy to assemble, very lightweight and sleek design w/o bulk, no need to charge, and no remote to keep track of. I was doubtful about the sturdiness of this one but decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the quality and how easy it was to assemble and use. The box it came in fits nicely in my duffle bag with other gear. Only two things caught me a bit by surprise: Assembled, it was shorter than I had expected, but that turned out to be a good thing. Sitting in a reading chair or on a couch with my lamp set up by my side, the long narrow light bar sits about level with my forehead, rather than shining down from above. Thus, no light in my eyes and no heat from a strong lamp over my head. Because the light is a long bar rather than a single "spot" it is dispersed evenly across the entire reading surface. The other "downside" to this marvelous little workhorse is the decision to use a USB connection rather than a regular wall plug, which means you must have a converter, not included. Of course most people have such devises with them to charge their cell phones, and/or a computer you can plug it into, or find themselves in a place which has provided a lamp or clock offering such connections. But it is something to keep in mind. Also, the cord is not very long and the two button switch is a bit confusing to use to select on/off, type of light desired and bright/ dim selection. But all in all, it is perfect for the price point and fits my needs. I am very pleased with it, and am considering buying another for my husband to use when working on his jigsaw puzzles, as it is much more efficient than burning all 8 bulbs in the ceiling fixture over the table! I recommend it.
