The figure on the cover is the only carving presented. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because it is narrated by someone, who is not the artist, with most information on the tools used. I would have preferred that the artist speak as he sculpted telling us why he was doing this and that. That would have given more useful information and insight.

Carving the female form - DVD
What a fantastic project to undertake. This DVD is clear and easy to understand. The carving lesson is made simple so anyone can follow it. This is truly a great project for anyone with moderate experience on wood carving and the "how to" with tools. I am a power carving and this project can easily be done with a dental micro motor.

Nicely done and clearly detailed
I'm a new carver and realize I have much to learn before I can take on a project like this but I'm exceedingly anxious to obtain the necessary skills so that I can undertake a project of this scale. I bought the accompanying DVD and am impressed with both.
