Lightweight but durable snips
Cons: The cap on one of the snips has a bit of extra plastic that had to be filed down (cheep Emery board works) to remove any risk of snagging yarn, clothing or possibly scratching user. (Simple enough fix, I'm not removing any stars for this, just mentioning it.)Pros: Lightweight- great for on the go projects.Durable. (I've been using these for over a month now).Sharp blades that are well aligned; it will cut thread to chunky woven yarn easily.Cap is snug, protecting individuals as well as work from harm.Ridges on cap as well as snips themselves to help you accurately use tool as desired. They may not be the fanciest snips you'll find but they do everything one needs from them and are a great bargain.

Great for Travel
I travel a lot and like to use the time spent waiting in airports to crochet or complete cross stitch projects. These little snips are perfect. I love that they each have a cap so that I don't stab myself while rooting through my bag to find them. They are sharp enough to snip yarn, thread and paper. They conform to TSA standards and I had no problem using them in the airport/plane

Good yarn crafting tool.
I like the scissors. They don’t open up more than the space of most years. They are nice and sharp. The tips of the scissors are pointed and sharp. Overall I like them and they work well.Edit: I have been using two of them regularly for almost a year. One is in my car. The other is in my first aid kit. The snipers function well. They do get a little dull. When they start to have trouble cutting yarn, I take some aluminum foil and fold it several times until it is one long strip a few inches wide. I cut long thin strips, approximately 8 to 10 times. This does help keep them sharp enough to cut the yarn easily. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I might buy more in the future as a part of a gift for a yarn friend.

Not bad but could be better
They are ok but a few of mine are not consistently sharpened. What I mean is that some cut better than others and some cut well near the point but not well near the base of the blade. This product is neat and has potential but they need to do better. I only use mine for yarn. I do like the size and the way it fits in my hand. I do understand that they are a cheaper product and therefore you get what you pay for so I’m ok with only being happy with a couple out of 4.

First time to use this!
The reasonable price, quantity and safety cover for each thread cutter makes this a very good buy! I am concerned with the very sharp tips so a safety cover is a must for me. I also liked that I have extras to give to friends and family.I tried it already and seems to me that it does a pretty good job in cutting thread. What more can a newbie sewer ask for? Definitely the better tool to use than a pair of scissors. I have no idea how long the sharpness will last, only time will tell!5 stars for me!

4.5
I would have given it a 5, but I noticed that in between the blades there is a gap and you have difficulty getting a clean cut on thread to eye the needle. Love how you can use one hand and you get several because I keep a set with each craft set I am doing. Works well with yarn though.

Full AF
I purchased similar snips years ago and absolutely loved them! The cap is so convenient anf I can put it on one handed while sewing so I don’t stab myself with them out on my sewing table. The other set dulled over the years and I needed to replace, these snips looked the same but they can barely cut through a piece of thread. Complete waste of money and unfortunately I realized after the return window.

not worth the price
bought these for sewing--to cut those pesky little thread bits that appear out of nowhere. These clippers wouldn't cut through a single thread. No way to rate effectiveness but wanted me to rate thickness???? Save your dollars and don't buy these little clippers
