I presumed these would be larger but I'm pleasantly surprised on how tiny they are. I got the 2 pack, and they fit inline perfectly to the thin USB-c style. The display is only on one side, so if it becomes annoying, flip it over. However, I'm impressed with what it does for the cost. There isn't any buttons because there isn't any need. The values cycle repeatedly through Volts, Amps and Watts. They don't have a measurable weight that I can tell, and they feel well built out of a quality housing. Charging speed will ultimately depend on your power source. I'm using this to ensure devices like a dash cam, radar detector and other small devices are only getting a .5volt max before I plug them in. Using this is far easier than getting microscopic needle point ohm-meter and as simple as plug and see. I'm probably going to buy a few more just to have with me at work and in my car as cables can wear out or have a break after prolonged usage and i'd be able to confirm continuity on the spot... plus they look cool. I simply wanted to check voltages for charging, not data, or video Here’s my experience: After using this tool for a couple of months, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a super small form factor, feels well-built, and has proven to be accurate. I've tested many cables and I'm happy to report that it hasn’t limited power throughput at all. 🔬 Testing Parameters Device: USB tester connected to several cables Power Source: Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 (4500Wh battery backup) Scenario: Previously measured about 95W charging output to a laptop from the Ecoflow panel PROS: ✅ Super small and portable: Easy to carry and use anywhere ✅ Very bright display: Easy to read in most lighting conditions ✅ Scrolls through key metrics: Voltage, wattage, and amperage ✅ Solid connectors: Good physical build quality ✅ Minimal impedance: No noticeable restriction on power flow CONS: ❌ Fast scrolling: Data points cycle quickly, making it hard to catch one metric for very long 🔎 CONCLUSION I would highly recommend this tester if you're looking for simple measurements of power throughput. After plugging the same cable into this inline tester, I saw similar wattages as without it (as shown in the video and pictures). Honestly, I was expecting more impedance at higher wattages, but even after leaving the tester in place for a while, there was no noticeable temperature rise or performance drop. This has earned a place in my laptop bag!

Decent meter for the price. The two I received read 0.5 volts different from each other when connected back-to-back, and +0.1/-0.4 volts from a known reference. But they work well enough for my purposes, which is to answer, "How fast is my phone charging on this particular brick?" They also work when connected between my laptop and dock, when my previous meter would overheat and drop out after a few minutes of 60W+ usage. I doubt they would handle 240W for very long, but I don't have anything that big to try it. I haven't tried them in a high-bandwidth data transfer setting either.

These work very well. This LED jungle plugs directly into your phone (USB C) and you're charging cable plugs into that, also USBC. As your phone is charging, you'll get an ever-changing readout that tells you how well and how fast the charge is going. I get a consistent readout of about 16.7 (16.7 Watts), which is the rate that my phone is charging. It should ideally be at least 25 watts. This tells me that the court I'm using to charge or the block that my cord plugs into isn't the best. If you do any research on the web it's very easy to find information that explains what you need to maximize the fastest charge possible and the equipment necessary. But this little dongle certainly gives me the information I need to know where I stand with charging capability. I ordered a new charging cable with this, and when I tested my old cord, I was down around 9.5, that's much slower charging. Right now I'm comfortable with a 16.7. the new cord and block to plug into, is about as fast as I really need to get my phone up to speed.

They’re cheap but definitely not the most accurate. Putting this in series with other power meters or both in Aries with each other shows about +-5W readings

Works well, I like it. I can use it to see volts, amps, and total watts. As a side note it only stays powered on when connected to any non-PD source. When it's connected to a PD USB-C the display doesn't output details until you actually make a connection to a downstream device. I give the device some slack because I don't know how you can make something so compact without some compromises and it's not really that big of a deal: it may not plug into phones with chunky cases. I can say it works with the Killswitch case on my steam deck. I was using it to test how much pass through power an external monitor was sending downstream. So I can confirm it supports DP alt mode. Another note is that when your device is at 100% and you're not actively using your phone/whatever it only switches back and forth from Volts and Amps if your amps is at zero then your device is correctly turning down power from the charger. The display seems like it randomly switches between all three units but I think there is a method to its madness (I'm not sure but I think it switches over to whatever unit is 'updating' the most), but it would be cool to have manual control however like I said before credit where it's due, for the price and size pretty good deal. The display for the units I believe update in real time.

Bought to help sort out all my USBc cables and a little disappointed by the information panel. Shows very basic information. Amp, Watts and Volts. But it helped solve a problem of knowing the capabilities of the dozens of USBc cables I have lying around the house. Pretty easy to use with some help from AI. Good price but you are not buying it for the quality or detail. Does a very basic job and does is ok.

It works fine, it just cycles from Volts to Ampere to Watt every 5-10 seconds, you can not keep it steady at one of those

Maybe I cant resist shiny see through nerdy techno devices, but a display that goes through all Volt, amps and Watts even though I know my W=IV formula is still cool to have. And it has see through casing and its the highest wattage , and it allows data as well and not block that in order to show you power meter readings..... And it looks cool...... Nerd heaven!

Il display resta sempre acceso, anche quando non c'è nessun carico collegato, ed è un po' un peccato per chi lo lascia inserito senza usarlo. Nella confezione ci sono due pezzi identici, senza cavo incluso: bastano solo loro, da inserire tra il cavo e il dispositivo da ricaricare. Serve a controllare in tempo reale quanti volt, ampere e watt stanno passando durante la ricarica o il trasferimento dati. È utile per capire se un caricabatterie sta davvero erogando la potenza dichiarata, oppure se un telefono ha smesso di assorbire corrente perché è arrivato al 100%. È fatto molto piccolo, con un corpo trasparente che lascia vedere il circuito interno, un connettore USB-C dorato da un lato e una porta USB-C dall'altro. Nell'uso di tutti i giorni basta incastrarlo tra il caricatore e il cavo: il numero sul display cambia in pochi secondi e si legge bene anche in ambienti luminosi. È comodo anche per capire al volo quando un dispositivo ha finito di caricarsi, visto che i watt scendono quasi a zero. Al prezzo del bundle da due pezzi si resta sotto i cinque euro a pezzo, che è già interessante per uno strumento che preso singolarmente di solito costa di più. L'unico neo resta il consumo costante del display, ma per chi vuole capire cosa succede davvero durante una ricarica resta un acquisto che vale la spesa.
