This is an AWESOME shredder. It is very quiet, makes very small shreds and it really shreds CD/DVD discs. Every other shredder just cuts them into a few pieces, but this one absolutely shreds them into pixie dust! Works extremely well, doesn’t jam and has a nice catch bin. Absolutely worth the price.

This Aurora shredder is very well designed. The micro-cut style provides great security, and the motor is very quiet. The basket is large and very easy to empty making shredding papers less unpleasant. One of the best features is that it is on wheels, so it is easy to roll out of the way into the closet when not in use. Hopefully, I won't let the pile of papers to be shred build up so much. I can't yet speak to its durability, but I'm optimistic about it. I highly recommend.

Only had it a few hours. Having saved lots of personal info I didn't want to trash without shredding since my old machine died. I've gone thru enough for two bins. So far so good. I haven't tried more than 10 sheets. It slows a bit on 8 or more, but works. I'll likely keep my feeds to 6 sheets just to make it easy. Ran it practically non-stop for 30 minutes twice and no issues. Does a real nice job cross-cut shredding. Seems to match its P4 claims on shredding sizes. Shredding unit itself is quite heavy. It rolls easily on the wheels it comes with though they are on the small side. After the first bin I oiled it and it seemed quieter. Maybe it needs oiling a bit when you first get it. It is fairly quiet in any case when running. Cord is nice and long. I do think the lower part of the unit and paper bin are on the flimsy side. All a snapped together affair and the bin has some grooves/wheels to guide it in and out, but I wonder how well it will lock in place with more use. And you'll want to handle it with care as it flexes just taking it in and out and handling to empty the paper. Seem like for the price this plastic part could have been a millimeter thicker and more robust. I haven't tried credit cards or CDs. I'll keep staples and paper clips out of it. Why abuse your machine? I usually use some small bolt cutters on credit cards. Easy to snip into pieces. I'll just shred paper I think. Pretty happy, it is more powerful and shreds much smaller than my old cheap machine from Office Depot.

Didn't see a P-4 review on here for the "other" things it can shred. You are looking at a combination of CD/DVD/CD-R/DVD-R +R DL. 250 disks @ about 25 minutes. Disks do have to be fed one by one. Minimal jamming but it self corrects itself and usually only did so on CD-R's and Retail CD's. It rips through dvd medium. Considering this is almost exactly half way full. I'm going to say It can handle 500 disks before needing to be emptied which is good. I have 250 more disks to go that i'm backing up to my NAS as i'm 50 yrs old and have disks from 1996 that are getting "disk rot" and need to be backed up before they cease to read period.

I purchased this to replace an old Fellowes unit that finally gave it up. Things I like about this one: - It's very quiet - The waste bin is large and holds a lot of confetti - It thoroughly shreds papers into small bits for security - It shuts itself off after being idle to conserve electricity - The credit card shredder works well, just don't feed it a fancy metal card! - The Bin Full warning light is a nice feature - The roll-around wheels are handy so I can push it back under the desk when not in use Things I'm not wild about: - It's kind of slow. I suppose that is a function of the micro shredding compared with my old shredder. Not a big deal in my case since it is not for heavy duty use. - The slot for feeding paper is quite thin and it is challenging to get the paper to feed straight. I assume that is for safety, but still a bit of a pain. - While the bin holds lots of shreddies, it is difficult to empty into a trash bag without making a mess. I haven't had it overheat and shut off yet, so I don't know how long it will run, but it has run for over 30 minutes without a problem. Overall, I'm happy with it and hope it holds up as long as its predecessor did (over 10 years).

So far, an awesome shredder. It's quiet, ate up everything I fed in and the basket is super easy to empty. No mess, you can wheel it around and I am super happy. There are a lot of options out there and I think I did good choosing this shredder. It's head and shoulders above the $50 shredder I had before.

A really great shredder. Very quiet when schredding. Easily handles 8 sheets at a time. It is well made, and should work for years without any trouble. Definitely worth the selling price. I am very pleased. Recommended.

Great home paper shredder! I found myself inundated with files of paper containing sensitive data after becoming the executor of the estates of three family members in a row, one of whom held onto every tax filing and medical record for the past 40 years. After looking at the pros and cons of multiple shredders I settled on this one, and am astounded at how efficiently and quietly it shreds. While it is rated for up to 12 sheets at a time, I choose to max it at half that for the most part. Yes, it can do 12, but you can hear the change in how it sounds - it's obviously working harder, so I prefer not to risk overloading it or having it overheat, and just keep continuously feeding smaller batches. Its pretty sturdy, although I wish the pullout receptacle basket were thicker plastic and didn't have as much flex to it as it does. The shredded pieces are about 3/8" x 1/8" which I like. I've had no issues with it jamming and it chops up staples with ease so you don't have to worry about removing them. Very pleased with this purchase.

Unfortunately i am so used to products advertised on the international amazon sites having 110-240 auto switching power supply. I didn’t expect that Amazon would advertise, take payment and ship a product that is INCOMPATIBLE in the country whose amazon site i was shopping (UAE). And upon arrival i read the manual which says nothing about voltage limits. But upon receipt after reading the manual thoroughly I plugged the shredder in and POP BOOM sizzle - thats the end of my shredder. $200 plus wasted in 2 seconds. Not happy!!!!

Buena trituradora, acepta gran cantidad de papeles y dura un buen rato sin calentarse, los papeles salen en pedacitos chiquititos, lo que ayuda a la confidencialidad y el objetivo de trituras, aparte aguanta todo tipo de material desde discos CDs, tarjetas tipo departamentales o bancarias, cartón, lo que lo hace ideal para casa, silenciosa y padrísima, solo es un poco difícil de limpiar y cuando se traba es complicado que te devuelva el papel atorado; aun así ,es un excelente artículo calidad precio.

This is by far the best shredder we have ever purchased. The lower level type (cheaper ones) would stop working after a lot of shredding. The small ones do have their limitations. This machine has a good basket size, shreds paper into very small pieces, have an automatic feeder which is great, and takes quite a few sheet of paper at a time. We usually did about 6 sheets at a time as the paper we use is quite thick (states it can do 12). Its not very noisy... its a shredder so of course there is some level of noise. Have used it multiple times now and ran it close to an hour each time we used it and no jamming, overheating or stopping. Very good product and would highly recommend. (we are also applying the oil (vegetable oil) to the shredder blades as recommended in the instructions, to ensure we properly maintain it).

A mighty and bold shredder it has shown itself to be. It has handle onslaught after onslaught of shredding, where other less worthy shredders would collapse at even the sight of such amounts of paper. None have taken on anywhere near the amount of papers and survived. Not only has it survived but it has thrived, not once did it hold back or get stuck, even when pushed beyond it's official capabilities. Even without yet receiving a single oil replenishment it has held steadfast, not even with a single jam. This beast of a machine is what all shredders need to aspire to, if they only could it would make the world a much better place. Shredding would be solved once and for all. All hail to this mighty shredder, it has done its job with incredible excellence and I would recommend it in all your empires without a seconds thought.

El precio es algo elevado respecto de otras marcas, pero lo justifica su desempeño, para mí ha sido la mejor opción, ya tuve en casa otra de otra marca y más pequeña y la verdad era un fastidio cada 10 minutos tener que frenar la destrucción de papeles para esperar que se enfriara. Con este equipo logro terminar más rápido sin tener que esperar. Satisfecho con mi comprar.
