Terrible item. It arrived and simply did NOT WORK. I wouldn't bother purchasing this item!! Save your money and get somethiing else.

Over many years of keeping (?being kept by?) cats we found another cat in the kitchen. Although we chased it out it kept returning, and the final strw was finding it in the bedroom in the middle of the night. Our existing cat flap was a Ferplast one, which itself had been hard to find as it had to fit the previous cat flap which had disintegrated. Therefore as this was the same size (w x h) it was an automatic contender. The flap itself was easy to install - but make sure you 'register' your cats before doing so - it will prove almost impossible once in the door, although the collar supplied also works well. The only problems we have encountered are that the tunnel is slightly longer than on the previous one, so protrudes slightly from the door, and the little indicator device which shows which way the last user travelled (Out or In) sometimes sticks in the half way position. This appears to be something to do with the lip at the end of the tunnel, which wasn't on the original manual version. However, overall it does the trick. We have had no more visits from unwanted cats, nocturnal or otherwise!

Great idea ,efficient when functioning but even the most powerful batteries i can find last barely a month !! My catflap is not fitted at the bottom of the door but in a higher window so i also can't see the low battery light when they need replcing.Consequently my cats are frequently locked out. It needs 6 AA batteries so costs a fortune to run.Don't know if any of the other makes are more cost effective,i only bought this as i had a previous model that works by magnet so it fitted into the same hole. I think i will go back to that model,this one needs a lot of perfecting .Wouldn't recommend this product.

Continuously locking out one of my cats which with the colder weather I'm having to constantly get up through the night to let him in... Awful and upsetting!!!!

BEWARE! This is an overpriced piece of non-functioning rubbish with perhaps the worst set of instructions I have read in over sixty years. Twice since I've had it the copper contact points have lost contact with the batteries and had to be bent back to touch. The microchip reader has a life of its own, sometimes locking my cat out and other times malfunctioning to the point of allowing three or four neighbourhood cats also to enter and then get locked in. You can imagine what a joy this congregation presents when one comes home to the smell of five cats marking their territory. If you're a fan of Italian design and technical competence, then this equipment will cure you forever — I promise. Now, the unit's copper contact points have broken off (after so much enforced re-adjustment) and I'm having to remove this Cat Flap Farce from the back door and buy another unit (the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap for less than half the price), hoping that technically it will show a vast improvement. This seems likely if you check its number of positive reviews. How I wish it had been on sale at Amazon in Jan 2014.

Service is excellent and cat flap too . Just we have 2 cats one inside and other likes to go out . If you have cat or cats that go out then this is suitable as it only un locks when coming in and remains un locked for going out on in setting .

Have to change batteries (6!) every 2-3 weeks. They are supposed to last a year. Have tried contacting Ferplast, but no response. Given the price. Very very disappointed

Le produit est pratique même si l’entrée et la sortie du chat provoque un claquement assez bruyant. Mais il s’est très vite détérioré. J’ai d’abord racheté la languette d’indication d’entrée et sortie puis une porte . Le bouton rouge aujourd’hui ne fonctionne plus du tout. Je la laisse donc ouverte et n’a donc pas plus d’intérêt qu’une chatière manuelle. De plus la porte était décrite comme isolante mais l’ensemble laisse passer tout l’air froid extérieur et refroidit considérablement la pièce.

Wir haben diese Katzenklappe für unsere beiden kleinen Katzen gekauft und sind damit sehr zufrieden. Der Einbau in die Tür war, wenn man handwerkliches Geschick vorweisen kann, sehr schnell gemacht. Nun zur Klappe selber. Wir haben uns zunächst Sorgen gemacht da einige Rezensionen davor warnten, dass die Katzen nicht die nötige Kraft aufbringen können um sie aufzustoßen. Diese Erfahrung kann ich nicht teilen. Wir haben zwei gerade mal 16 Wochen alte Stubentiger und die haben überhaupt kein Problem damit die Klappe nach außen hin aufzudrücken. Für den Weg nach innen nutzen wir nicht das mitgelieferte Halsband sondern den vom Tierarzt implantierten Chip. Das Speichern war sehr einfach. Man drückt einen Knopf und schubst die Katze durch die Klappe danach ist der Chip dieser Katze gespeichert. Nun unsere Katzen haben etwas Übung gebraucht um zu verstehen, dass sie beim reinkommen erst warten müssen bis es "klickt" damit die Verriegelung offen ist. Wir nutzen die Klappe inzwischen seit einer Woche und sie kommen und gehen wie es ihnen passt. Beide habe nach einigen Übungsversuchen das System verstanden. Das "Klicken" ist recht laut aber unsere Süßen stört es absolut nicht. Ich würde die Klappe jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Impossibile farla funzionare con costanza, sembra che funzioni ma poi i gatti rimangono fuori perché non si apre. Ne avevo già comprata un’altra in negozio e anche quella non funzionava.

Mi entravano in casa altri gatti ed il mio essendo sterilizzato ne soffriva molto, ora solo lui può entrare, il problema per me è stato abituarlo (prima passava da una finestrella aperta). Consiglio di abituarli prima allo sportello normale. Il mio ha difficoltà a capire che deve attendere che si apra la serratura e poi spingere col muso.

No la recomiendo para instalar en una puerta metálica. Necesitas hacer un montaje con un madera u otro material aislante que es bastante complicado de hacer. He cortado la puerta para instalar la gatera, y he puesto el aislante de madera como indican. NO FUNCIONA. Tengo que dejarla desbloqueada para que pueda entrar y salir mi gato…. y todos los gatos que quieran venir a comer y dormir.
