This set of waxed thread came well packed. The reels are all packed together into one plastic envelope. Inside the envelope, the reels are divided into sets of 8 and placed in a 2nd envelope. Each reel also has its own plastic covering. The larger and smaller envelopes are stuck shut and can be opened without tearing. While they won't last long, as long as they do, it is a convenient way to store them. The thread itself is very lightly waxed, which I like. Too much of wax leaves a residue when stitching and makes everything sticky.I bought this set for several reasons. It has that gorgeous black and gold thread, a combination that I like. The set also has different shades of the same color, especially browns and beiges. This is important when I do not want my stitching to be visible over other work that I have done on the leather. There is a variety of colors and they are not garish, as may sets are wont to be. This set is 0.8mm waxed thread which is what I use most of the time. So it is perfect for my use.

Am quite pleased with this waxed thread assortment.Includes several dark, medium, and light colored spools.Three spools are multicolored and one is neon – pretty festive for waxed thread.The threads are smooth, uniform, and soft for hand stitching.Will be using these on leather, canvas, and other materials in multiple craft and repair projects.
