Ordered two of these. I decided to test them before using them "for real" by filling with water and plugging up the downspout with my finger. Both leaked significantly from the joint where the downspout attached to the funnel. I got out a blowtorch and silver solder (you don't want lead in something you are going to drink) and managed to repair one to 100% watertight, and the other to about 80%. These should arrive watertight and should stay watertight.

It works.Great tool for decanting wine that has excess sulfur dioxide immediately after bottling. (This is a great winemakers tool, the common consumer would not be able to detect the exact level of SO2 in their wine to know it needed copper. The copper funnel will help 'age' the wine to give a preview of what it will taste like after time in bottle).

2012-I am serious this is a sweet, sweet copper funnel. The moment I opened the small square box that this funnel came in I knew it was the one for me. It's a nice size, bigger then I expected. I like my funnels like I like my women conical, brassy (or coppery in this case) and well constructed. So, in summary, this is a very nice funnel. I don't think you will be disapointed for ten bucks. You know you want one, go ahead and buy it, come on buy it. You'll like it, you really will.2017-Nearly fve years later this funnel is still holding up. Although reading my review I was a bit embarrassed, I'd had a bit too much coffee that morning. I also did not intend any of it to come off as sexist. I was just being a little silly. Still a great copper funnel, though.

Fluids drain do slow it's ridiculous and if you fill it it falls over and fluid goes everywhere but in.......please don't waste your money like I did

I use this copper funnel to make transfers when making wine at home. Learned this "trick" from an old Italian wine maker. The copper funnel "takes out bad tastes and makes a 'smoother' wine". I must say it works.

I bought this as a gift for my son who has a copper kitchen. It is very nice. Good size and of nice quality.

Bought for specific purpose,used three times.First 2 times thought I was just being messy.3rd time realized that the funnel and spout were not fully soddered so there is a opening which the liquid comes out.

This is real copper and beautiful, perfect size and well made. Recommend to anyone! The packing and shipping was great and fast!
