Worked great for making leis.

I love these needles and thread. I used them to thread through my herbs and hang them to dry. It is working great.

Iʻve used these needles a little to make lei and theyʻre nice, smooth and good lengths. They seem to be strong and time will tell if they hold up to sewing a lot of lei. Unfortunately they have a closed eye which is fine for simple projects but not as versatile as a hook end. There is a similar product with hook ends but there are no points. That is puzzling as I imagine it would only be able to be used with certain flowers that have big tubular centers that donʻt require piercing since there are no points. Even plumeria flowers need a pointed tip to make it through the stem without tearing it. I canʻt think of a flower I would sew into a lei with a needle that would be able to be sewn with this needle, except maybe a hibiscus. But they wouldn't last long enough to sew. These needles with the closed eyes are going to be limited in use. The rest of the items, the little sewing scissors and the twine are somewhat useful. I use bigger scissors to cut lei materials so I donʻt really see using the little scissors. The twine is a bit thick for many flowers but I will use it for different projects and see how well it works.

Not sure what to do with such long needles but I like the thread!

Good quality. 10” lei needles are easier to handle so thankful for this size.

Bought this a year ago, and I’ve made made just a handful of leis since. Needles are great, but the thread has broken on a few fresh flower leis (specifically with carnations) I’ve made.

So glad I got these
