If I could give it 0 starts I would. This textbook is the worst thing I have ever read. It uses vague language to explain difficult topics. Sometimes you find yourself reading the same sentence over and over and it still doesn't make sense. Seriously, please consider your audience when writing a textbook.

Good and used for school.

As a master degree student , I’m disappointed with this book. It doesn’t contain in-depth information about the critical appraisal. I think it could have been written better. It’s too basic.

Had to read this textbook front to back for my one Research Methods course... Goes into a lot of detail regarding specific research methodologies and each chapter walks you through a different aspect of the research article (introduction, methods, results, discussion). Although it isn't the easiest book to read, the authors do use case examples which can help solidify some of the concepts.
