We got the 4 stage system for our finishing room. We spray all sorts of paints and finishes on wood products ranging from water based acrylic paints, to conversion varnishes, and 2K urethanes. This filter helps keep the air clean and dry to reduce the risk finishing issues including pitting and other contaminate related problems. The build quality is comparable to any big-name brands. The pipe threads are NPT so there are no issues with sealing using standard npt fittings.We installed a larger gauge that goes to 50 psi to give us better resolution at lower pressures needed for spraying paint and finishes. The one that came with it is sort of small and goes all the way up to 240 psi (who runs that much pressure?)It comes with two replacement filter elements which will help keep us going for a while. I am slightly concerned about where we will find additional filter replacement elements once we use up the set it came with since this is a no-name import, but time will tell.

Let me just start off by saying wow ..installed it in my shop with no regrets..and to top it off the unit brings all the extras for you to keep it going for a real long time ..extra filters for each bowl ..extra fittings for wich ever setup you choose ..and packs of beads for at least a year depending how hard you run it ..loved it ..

I really wish I could give this 5 stars but there seems to be a critical casting issue where the two main inlet/outlet fittings are. No matter how much Teflon tape or what they are torqued to they leak air, everything else is secure. Hoping someone can resolve this.

air regulator does not work

Reviewng: 4 stage (4 canisters), 1/2" NPT threads, manual drain.It's a pleasure just to hold this unit it's so well made. Clever design.From the factory, the feed is left to right. But I needed it right to left. Turns out it's trivial to swap the ends--just take the whole thing apart (all you need is one allen wrench and undo 3 screws) and put it back together with everything swapped. The canister covers just need to be unlocked and removed, and then put back rotated 180 degrees.No gaskets! It's all sealed with O-rings. This is great because you don't have to crush things together tightly--the O-rings seal just by the precision of the machining.Some pieces of machinery you want to hold in your hands just because they are so well made: the parts fit perfectly, everything slides together smoothly, and it's all solid feeling. This is such a device.
