I bought this Creality Extruder Kit to replace my old extruder, which had developed a clicking issue. After having trouble with clogging I felt like the gearbox had taken enough abuse and thought it would be good to just replace it. For the price it was a no-brainer. It has performed well thus far.

This looks like a perfect example of Creality improving their products over time. The manufacturing feels great. Contrary to previous reviews, mine was delivered fully assembled, so the missing instructions weren't necessary. This is such a simple design, but massively better than early Ender models. There is an internal brass tube that guides the filament right up to the gears and a PTFE tube that guides the filament out of the extruder again. This should make printing with flexible filaments much easier, but I was unable to check this as it didn't fit onto my machine. I guess that Creality has also changed the extruder motor design. This requires a much shorter shaft and different gear.
