Maxpedition Monkey Combat Admin Pouch

This is a must have pouch for the Maxpedition Kodiak Gearslinger. The Kodiak doesn't have a great admin pouch for my purposes, and this pouch really gives me a way to put a lot of things I can't conveniently fit in one of the front pouches on the Kodiak. The admin pouch attaches to the Kodiak with two 5" tacties that you must buy separately. No issues to attach the pouch, and it fits on the front Molle webbing perfectly. It does not interfere with any of the zippers or access to other pouches. Inside this admin pouch, you'll be surprised how much room you have because it expands. I use a larger moleskin notepad and this fits perfectly inside the main compartment and allows it to be conveniently available. I put a couple of mechanical pencils on one side held by the expansion bands, and a pen on the other side. The back slip pocket goes the entire depth of the pouch so it's plenty big for things like receipts and other papers you may need to keep while traveling. The center "hidden" compartment is handy for things you want to be more secure, like a passport or some "mad" money. The pouch expands to hold bulkier things, although I try to keep it pretty low profile. The bulkiest items are my note book and a Cree XPG flashlight that sits right beside the note book. The front of the pouch has velcro for patches or other hook & loop accessories. The fold down map flap is convenient and has a lot of uses. The velcro closure for the main compartment is secure, you'll be able to feel and hear it, if someone tries to open the pouch while you are wearing it on your back. Overall, this is a really great addition to the Kodiak and I highly recommend it.

I purchased this pouch for my son's backpack, but in preparation for the review, I did use it myself. It fits in a purse quite nicely. This is the Maxpedition Monkey Combat Admin Pouch, which was a collaborative deal between MilSpec Monkey and Maxpedition. The end result is a velcro-closure pouch (pocket for mundane people) that will store a *LOT* of small items. By small, think pens, pocket notebooks, personal flashlights.. There is a hidden 'sleeve' in the back which will hold something flat like a notebook or even a folded map. This is handy. There are several elastic loops inside the pouch for holding pens or other things. I can fit a bunch of pens and sharpie markers in them, a swiss army knife, and so on. I can fit three pocket-size notebooks in the pouch if I really want to stuff it good, possibly even a fourth. By pocket-size, I mean the Moleskine or similar product line. This pouch also has a 'secure' area in the middle which is very hard to get into. Velcro-closure with pull tabs. Great place to store money or valuables. Nothing would fall out of there. I won't go into the various compartments, other than to say you should find a place for most small daily-use things you have. Guys with cargo pants, this pouch will probably slide into one of those big pockets. It fits my son's cargo shorts pockets almost like it was designed for that. The pouch itself measures about 7x6 inches (height and width). All in all, I like it. My son wanted it because it has web loops that allow it to attach to the outside of his backpack. MOLLE loops. They are also called PALS. I like that it uses velcro instead of zippers. That way there is no chance of a zipper bursting on you. It has a vinyl or plastic section for holding an ID card or something of that sort, or if you had a small map you needed to look at in the rain. My son likes it a lot. They only come in "guy" colors, though. It might be nice if they came in a blue or pink or something for the ladies. But in black it works fine. The pouch itself feels VERY tough, and it is unlikely to break. That's important for those of us who expect our purchases to last so we don't have to buy replacements. I highly recommend this pouch for those of you with boys or men in your lives who need to keep their small tools organized.

I was initially hesitant to order this item. I was looking for an admin pouch that would fit on my external carrier for work as an Animal Control Officer. This was the right size (most I looked at were bigger and more than what I was looking for), so I gave it a shot. The more I use it, the more I love it. It's got everything I need and nothing I don't. The two main pockets are perfect for my notepad, extra pens, commission card and other ID. The exterior loops hold my pen tightly even when I'm running or tussling with a person or dog. It sits fairly flat on my carrier and doesn't get in the way. When I found the little pouch that's perfect for business cards, I was hooked. Really a great purchase. Well designed. It's a little overbuilt like most Maxpedition stuff, but it's going to last forever. Love it.

I love Maxpedition products and have always had great impressions of their gear. This pouch fulfills the quality standards set by Maxpedition, but did not accomplish, in my opinion, the intent of an admin pouch. First off, an admin pouch is almost always going to be placed on the chest portion of a plate carrier. This pouch fits, but just barely, and can make it difficult to look around. I didn’t need much room. Just enough for a standard tactical Rite in the Rain notebook, map pens, templates for 9 lines, CAS, etc. but I found I was still running out of space. Basically, for the size of the admin pouch, there are too many organizers. It’s a lot of high quality, stiff fabric, which severely limits usable space. So, it is made well, and may work for your purposes, but know that it won’t fit much gear.

Comme tous les produits Maxpedition, la qualité de la pochette est excellente. Polyvalente et sécuritaire, elle peut organiser bien des petits items. La couleur OD Green est très belle et se marie bien aux autres couleurs. Excellent produit.

Product works excellent... Holds my duty book, pens, other documents, cell phone and still has more room. However the delivery time/delay was extremely frustrating... if it's not available then it should say so!!!

Por fuera es muy discreto y minimalista. La solapa inferior cuenta con una ventana de mica para alojar credenciales, fotografías, mapas o algún documento que deba permanecer visible. Al abrir la parte superior, se tiene acceso a los diversos compartimentos tipo sobre, uno con cierre velcro y los demás solo se solapan entre sí. En algunos se cuenta con segmentos elásticos, para asegurar y organizar los objetos que se introduzcan. Como extra, hay una pequeña manga oculta en la parte posterior al segmento con ventana de mica. Lo que más me gustó, es su diseño, que resulta de gran comodidad. Se puede asegurar a un chaleco o a cualquier mochila con sistema M.O.L.L.E. En mi caso, lo he integrado a una Falcon II y a una Noatak sin problema y resultando en excelente forma. En cuanto esté disponible de nuevo, compraré otro. _-_-_-_-ACTUALIZACIÓN_-_-_-_ De los mejores pouches que puedas conseguir. Está excelentemente fabricado con material de calidad y un diseño bien pensado. Le cabe de todo en sus múltiples espacios.
