Why did you pick this product vs others?:I usually pick items that are priced the lowest and ship free. Value for my money is very important.Functionality:It has everything I needed to repair a beloved book. The press is specific to the size of book so I was lucky that my book fit otherwise I would've had to return it. Very cool process.

Anything and everything you could want to bind small books. The press is a nice, solid wood which should hold up for a long time to come. I've made 2 small sketchbooks with it so far and plan to do more soon. It's very easy to use, and for everything you get, a very good value. I don't think it could get any easier in terms of function, unless you want something to bind much larger books than I plan to make.

For the price it can get you started. The press is decently made which is the best part of the kit. If you get into serious book binding you’ll want to invest in some better quality but it’s completely reasonable for the casual book binder.

Love this. I am a novice bookbinder, and this is a great help. I used this to make a small notebook the day I received it. The press is of good quality and construction, and accessories came in handy. It is simple to use and does what it's designed to do. It's a good value for the price. You'll probably need to purchase a few more items to create your first book – paper (obviously) and scissors, but this will get you started.

Just for fyi - thread spools are tiny.

If you are starting out learning book binding this has what you need. I would recommend also purchasing a cradle for accurate hole locations
