THE BEST!
My FAVORITE EVER protein shake. It’s full of healthy and clean ingredients! I’m a crunchy mom & this is a great choice! It tastes so yummy, my 18 month old even loves to steal sips from me. Great value for your money and health!! Gives me the energy I need to start my day! It can be a little clumpy & bubbly when it mixes sometimes but I figured out if I use it with my battery powered mixer & then use the vacuum seal feature it gets all the air bubbles out & the texture is perfect. I always mix with raw milk & 1/2 of a banana & it tastes just like a banana chocolate shake! I used it with water once and won’t ever do that again lol, definitely use milk!!

Ancient Gains with a Modern Sweet Tooth
I’ve tried a lot of protein powders over the years—some tasted like drywall, others like sadness—but Ancestral Supplements Grass Fed Protein? This stuff is built different. The blend of grass-fed beef protein, mushrooms, and chocolate isn’t just clean—it’s elegant. No sketchy fillers, no weird aftertastes, just solid, nutrient-rich fuel. I mix it with heavy cream or butter, and it gives me a clean energy boost that feels more grounded than jittery. Now, about the sweetness: it’s definitely on the enthusiastic side. Not unpleasant—just more like dessert-level sweet than your typical post-workout chug. I wouldn’t mind it toned down a notch, especially when I’m trying to feel like a warrior monk and not someone sneaking spoonfuls of frosting.Still, it’s one of the cleanest, most thoughtfully made proteins I’ve found, and my body feels great when I use it. Sweetness aside, it’s a big win for the ingredient-conscious, grass-fed, fat-friendly crowd.

Great Protein Shake
Excellent protein shake! I've got hypo thyroid issues and was trying to find something that not only is healthy but makes me feel good. The shake is filling and gives me a nice little burst of energy. I appreciate not only the animal derived protein but also the benefits of the mushrooms added in there as well.To mix it I fill a mason jar with about 1/2 cup of hot water, add the powder, then put a lid on it and shake it up. This seems to blend it pretty well. I then either add cold water and ice to it or I throw it in a blender and add a banana or some strawberries (with additional ice and cold water to make it the 12-16oz drink).Overall, I'm very happy with this product. It's definitely on the pricey side but it tastes good and it's good for you. I highly recommend.

Indrinkably sweet
Undrinkably sweet! The ingredients sound appealing in terms of quality and nutrition but the vanilla flavor has way too much monk fruit sweetener. I tried adding unflavored beef protein powder and also unflavored whey powder to tone it down but it is still awful. It's a lot of $$ for something that has so much sweetener in it. Monk fruit may not affect your blood sugar, but there is no need to overdue the level of sweetness. I would have been better off with beef organ capsules, unflavored powder and a separate mushroom powder.I have now added chickory root to tone it down. Also, it doesn't dissolve easily, is sticky and forms lumps so it's a lot of work if you are on the road and don't have a blender. The chickory has a nice flavor, but I had to also add some cocoa powder and cinnamon & nutmeg so now it is drinkable.

Good company, product too sweet
I am an Ancestral Supplements fan and have been using some of their products for a few years. I tried this protein powder for the first time today. I like that this is a very clean product, no unnecessary ingredients. The only thing I do not like is that it is much too sweet for me. It would nice if they would cut back on the sweetener. It also does not dissolve well in hot liquid. Tomorrow I will try cold liquid and see what happens. I'm still going to go with this product because it is made by AS. They are a very reliable company.Update: I tried half a scoop in my coffee and used a small whisk to mix and it is much better. The sweetness is still there but is not so overpowering as a full scoop.

Taste overload
OMG. Its so good. I mix it with core power chocolate, frozen fruit and oikos pro plain yogurt. It feels like I'm being bad it's so good. AS is a great brand and Brian will help you find the right solution for you. Beef organs are the best!!

WHAT A TREAT!
Almost broke my foot running to leave a review! You guys!!! This stuff is absolutely delicious. I got the vanilla flavor. I don't eat meat and I am anemic, apparently have some hormonal issues too. So on the advise of my Chinese medicine doctor I agreed to at least up my protein from a trully bioavailable source such as organ meat. I'm have a slight ethical battle in my head about it as I sip on this, but my god it is so delicious. Yes, quite sweet but I have a constant craving for sugar ( because low energy) and will be drinking this on most afternoons at work when I'm about to pass out on the floor because i feel that tired. Absolutely delicious, not grainy at all, mixed well and can't taste anything but the vanilla and matcha. I made it with low pasturized milk, matcha powder and ice cubes, it is a true treat! The cost is hefty but I think it will be worth it!

Great product. Filling and satisfying. A little too much monk fruit for my taste.
I really like this because it's the first protein powder I've tried that legit makes me feel full. I drink it at night and it takes care of my cravings. My only issue is there's too much stevia. I get that they need to cover up the animal taste and smell but I wish they used less stevia and more of some other flavoring that's less sweet. Or ditch the flavoring and let the consumer combine the powder with something else, like almond milk, to hide the animal taste. It would be great if they offered a stevia-free (or reduced) version.
