an over hyped keeper
today's my 30th day with pro 4's so i have to decide to keep these or return them for a refund... i'm at 51% keep which is not a compliment. my 49% issue is that pretty much how every "advanced" feature you can enable just ends up destabilizing these buds usefulness.i have crew cut hair, yet all the touch features make the buds too touchy (even disable all touch and solely use in-ear detection), all the bluetooth features make the connection either intermittently pause the audio source or drop the bluetooth connection altogether, which often requires i put them back into the charging case and taking them out. during 10% of these fails i have to complete factory reset in the case and forget on my phone, to bring these buds back to connectivity.speaker ANC is solid in the street and on the subway, mic ANC is solid in the street, and as long as i keep EVERYTHING disabled and ONLY enable "Stable Connection First" these speaker ANC buds seem to behave themselves even when my a12 bt5 phone is in my Carhartt thigh pocket (a connection my previous soundcore buds count not maintain). also the few times i actually listen to 320 kbps music files, these buds high-mid db range sound nearly as good as my around ear headphones, or far better than my soundcore.a nice bonus few notice is the speaker stems are standard round, so they work well with Spinfit Omni tips which is why i bailed on soundcore, because most of their higher end buds changed to those stupid square/oval shape stems. the earfun firmware update was failing for a week till it took, from 3.5 to 3.7 which may reduce some of my complaints, but i doubt it - i will update this 04/2025 review if i notice some remarkable improvement while more features are enabled.about all the reviewers here complaining about wind anc being worthless, i agree that it is. i walk a 12 lane blvd that wind gusts >20mph twice a week, but this may not be earfun's fault, rather it's the fact that all mic stem earbuds struggle to anc wind. so if wind noise cancellation is paramount, you would probably be better off with any no stem design like pro 3 which seems like a pro 4 without the stem. if voice pickup by the mic is paramount during phone calls, then getting anything with a mic stem is crucial, unless you can afford over $250usd for those famous name airplane magazine advertised buds.

Finally found earbuds I like!
After searching and trying many different types of earbuds, I finally found a great pair that works well for me. Based on my ears, Apple earpods do not work well at all. They do not stay in my ear no matter what I do.This is the first time I have ever heard of or tried EarFun. Over the past week, I have tried various models from Soundcore, JBL and TOZO. There was something that was just not right with those models. They either did not have wireless charging, or poor / bad sound, did not support Noise Cancelling, etc.Well ... boy was I surprised when I get the EarFun earbuds. I was very skeptical since I had such disappointing results from the other earbuds. The Good:------------------------------------- Sound Quality: These earbuds were very very good. Nice clean sound and great range from lowest bass registers to the highs.- The App: Nicely done App. Allowed full control including creating and saving personalized EQ preferences. I was able to tailor the sound to my exact liking.- Phone Audio: Great. I could clearly hear persons on the other end and everyone said my voice came through loud and clear.- Multiple Devices: These earbuds did support multiple devices and the App made it convenient to switch between them. Setting up multiple devices was great. Finally a product that has a simple process to add a second device.- Noise Cancelling: It just works. Stable and does not 'switch in/Out' like other models I have tried. Nothing spectacular about the ANC but not bad. The noise cancelling is not at the level where it could be used as hearing protection at a shooting range ... but they are not designed for this ... so not a negative at all.- Charging: These earbuds do provide for wireless charging. Surprising I have this in the 'Good' .. but I have tried many newer pricey models that do not offer this capability.- Fit: I generally wear medium bud cups. A few of the models I tried, even though they had mediums, did not fit well. These fit just right. Thus far, I have only worn them for a couple house ... so not sure what they will feel like after a full day ... but so far they are quite comfortable. The Not As Good - But still OK:------------------------------------- These earbuds do not stream sound simultaneously from both sources. It will stream sound from the 'active' source. If both sources are active at the same time, it will stream from the source that was connected 'first' during the set-up phase. Therefore, probably a good idea to make sure your 'main / primary' source is set-up first.- Touch controls seemed consistent. I need more time with these to determine how good it is. Typically, I generally only need touch controls for volume up/down and pause/play. These earbuds offer additional controls like (previous / next selection, ANC settings, etc)The Bad:------------------------------------- Multiple sources: The multi-source capability works quite well. The only issue is, once the primary source is playing sound, it does not pause the other source. That would be nice ... but it's not all that bad really.

Bought for Multipoint Connection. To use all features, one of the two devices MUST be your phone.
The main reason I bought these was for the Multipoint Connection (the ability to connect to two different devices, one at a time, automatically) and the feature is not usable for me on this product because one of the two devices for Multipoint Connection MUST be your phone for the app to work. Would have been useful to know that from its Amazon page.I have an AppleTV 4K streaming device and an nVidia Shield streaming device, and I wanted the earphones to just switch to whichever was active. That doesn't seem to work.Without the app active and the phone connected, the manual recommends a 'manual reconnect' which was what I was already doing before I spent $60 on these. When I switch streaming devices, I have to go into the device's setup and reconnect the earphones to the device, which makes it no better and more expensive than every non Multipoint BT earphone that works that way anyway.EDIT: The company reached out with detailed and helpful email instructions for how to achieve automatic switching between my devices which work for me. As a result, I have upped my rating for these. They do sound very good.
