Helped improved letter writing immediately
This book is great and I highly recommend for anyone 3 to adult learning to write letters consistently. We first purchased a set of 4 books from a different website (ships from outside the US, they were about $6 for 4 books and are pictured in comparison to elite kids book). They go by different names but seem to have all the same pages; magic groove, recessed exercise, magic calligraphy, etc. and come with alpha, numbers, arithmetic, drawing or similar. They were great given the price, but I didn’t like that the print was small and italicized and some of the letter styles were different or felt incomplete (G, r, t stood out most). Despite the small size, there was immediate improvement in her handwriting after using them once, I could not believe it. I happened upon the elite kid’s book and decided to try it specifically because the letters are not italicized and I am so glad I did. It was $10 for the one book, but is less frustrating for her to use. My kid loves the pictures off to the right of each letter and sometimes she is more in to doing those than the letters, but any practice controlling the pen is good practice. My kid writes with both her left and right hands and we have not had too much of issue with this book when she uses her left hand. The first pen used from the elite book was much inkier/messy than the pens from the other cheaper set. Hopefully the other refills are less inky because it takes much longer to fade and gets everywhere. ***Meltdown warning- my kid was 6/10 upset when her first perfectly drawn letter started to fade. “All my hard work is gone forever”.

Homeschool Helper: Form Your Child’s Handwriting with Fun Activities & Lots of Practice Sheets!
Struggling to find the perfect handwriting workbook for your child? This book may offer help with learning to write and do so neatly. While it has its pros and cons, this workbook offers a unique approach to writing practice with some fun features. Initial Impressions: I was drawn to this workbook for its larger size and positive reviews. My hope was that the grooves would provide deeper guidance for my 4-year-old's writing practice as she tends to let her pen lead her instead of leading her pen. However, upon receiving the workbook, I found that the grooves were not as pronounced as I had anticipated. They were barely noticeable; I would say very similar to the other options out there. Because of this, I have been holding her hand with each letter and number in helping her stay in the grooves. However, she has started to independently complete pages on the workbook by herself after 2 weeks of use as she concentrates and takes it slowly. Performance Evaluation: Despite the shallow grooves, my daughter enjoys the workbook's activities and drawing breaks before and after practicing letters and numbers. It adds a fun element to her learning experience. However, I've observed that the book requires supervision as children may forget correct writing techniques, despite the helpful picture illustrations. Additionally, I noticed inconsistencies in the letter formations, such as the letter "G" not being written out as how most people would write it. I had to correct it with a sharpie and explain the issue to my daughter. User Experience: Using the workbook has been a mixed experience. While the activities are engaging and beneficial, the shallow grooves and inconsistencies in some of the letter guides and some letter formations are drawbacks. However, the disappearing ink feature is a neat addition, though the ink did run out quickly (within 2 hours of use). I was relieved to find several spare ink containers included, but it seems I'll need to order refills every 2 or 3 months. PROS: Large size and engaging activities Drawing breaks: shape and object drawing practice alongside other reinforcing activities add fun to learning Disappearing ink feature is helpful Comes with spare ink containers CONS: Shallow grooves provide minimal guidance Inconsistencies in some letter formation Ink runs out quickly Conclusion: In conclusion, the Teacher-Designed Large 11x8.5in Reusable Grooved Handwriting Workbook offers some unique features for handwriting practice. While it falls short in some areas, such as groove depth and ink longevity, it still has merit, especially for supervised use with young children. However, I would recommend exploring other options as well to find the best fit for your child's needs.

Good idea, poorly executed
The idea is good. But buy a better quality version. The font is too small for a beginner and the pens don't work well.

These are fantastic! Nice and big so it’s easy for kids to see what they are doing and learn proper letter and number formation. It’s so neat to watch the ink disappear!
