This does a great job with video, but not with audio. I'm using this with a URayCoder HDMI encoder but I don't get any audio with this decoder on the HDMI output. I know my RTSP stream has audio -- I can connect via PC to the RTSP stream and get audio, but the decoder only provides video on the HDMI out. Support sent me an updated firmware file, but it hasn't fixed my problem yet.

This worked perfectly—it saved me from having to use a mini PC and set up VLC to stream from the encoder. The device plays the content 24/7, making it ideal for setting up a dedicated camera monitor.

I've purchased several of these decoders over the last couple years and haven't been disappointed once. Some say that their instructions are lacking but I didn't find that to be the case. However I cannot speak for everyone. If you are looking for a decoder that allows you to display more than one picture, such as a "Quad" display, be sure to read the product description, because they do offer them. The units I've purchased are used in a retail grocery setting, and they are easily attached to the back of the PVM/TV for discretion. I've mounted some to the TV mount itself, others i've used some 3M VHB tape and just attched them that way. Either way they look professional and have a fairly small footprint. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a decoder! Note: I did not rate the Tech Support, because I have not needed any Tech support so far.

We had an existing security camera system with a mixture of 30 cameras throughout our gymnastics facility. We installed 9 TVs in our lobby areas and mounted a HD decoder on each TV and configured each one with 17 channels corresponding to 17 of the security cameras. Now, in addition to providing security the cameras and these decoders allow the parents to see what the children are doing throughout the entire gym. This is an excellent product and the support I received from SZURay was phenomenal. I would not hesitate to recommend the product and the company.
