Brilliant piece of equipment as you would expect from blue lab don’t hesitate if you need to know the pH of your soil I will struggle to find something better to do the job

bought this for my Wollemi Pine that needs acidic soil that is slightly more acidic than the brands of soil you get at local garden centres. It comes with no test solutions so you have to get those and you need to (acidic and alkaline). The device performs well when calibrated and i was able to test the different soils i bought to find the right one.pros1) accurate2) doesn't take long to samplecons1) cleaning -but that's to be expected2) you need to buy calibration solutions - i wished they added small bottles of it given the price point3) price - but it is accurate and more so than cheaper brands

the product itself is good however doesn't state whether it is calibrated on arrival, on instructions it states: to calibrate but doesn't come with solution, so will need to be purchased separately.

Only used this a few times to check the ph of my soil. My first pen lasted a few months before I got an error message while trying to calibrate with ph solution of 4. It would not calibrate, no support from Bluelab which was of any use. The pen was eventually replaced but the same error happened just after the first year of warranty had run out.This is a waste of money I would advise to look for an alternative
