This may sound strange, but I use these to put frozen orchid food. You make the solution and then I just poured it into the trays. They freeze and store well and I just take two or three of them every time that I need them. They are the perfect size for that, Think about the size of a nickel. They release just fine. The included top keeps them from Drying out or Spilling bumped before they get frozen. Cute little shapes. I would purchase again. The trays themselves are quite durable, But I made the mistake of trying to twist the tray with the lid on and one of them cracked. So just make sure to remove the lid before you twist the tray to release the cube.

I like that they fit in my freezer actually easier than the old school ones, and it seems like I get more ice. It's easy to remove. The lid comes in handy so you can stack things. Quality seems good, I've had for a few weeks now. I did not notice any weird taste from the ice after freezing it in this.

I use these for making dog treats and they are fabulous. The frame is hard plastic, but the cube molds are silicone. They pop out the treats so easily and are must more stable the 100% silicone ice cube molds.

Emptying this tray takes a bit more patience than the plastic version. If you try to do it right out of the freezer, you fight the stubborn cubes, but if you let it sit too long the ice becomes too wet and will clump in whatever tray you use in your freezer. That being said, if you time it well (2-3 minutes), the cubes pop out nicely and are quite dense. They hold their shape nicely and last a good amount of time in your drinks. Twenty cubes in a tray is nice as well.

Does the job well. I use it to freeze homemade herb pastes. Each cube is small which I wanted. The lids are plus.

These are nice ice trays, I love that they came with a lid, and they worked well for about 7-months. However, I have found that if you want them to last, you really do need to set them out of the freezer for a few minutes (as the instructions read) before trying to remove the ice from the trays.I am always in a hurry, and rarely did this; It is probably what resulted in my ice trays leaking where the green silicone material meets the white hard plastic material. Now, I am going back to order replacement ice trays (again with lids) that are all silicone, and do not have the hard plastic as part of their design. I am hoping this next set will last longer.
