For the price it's hard to complain, but I will try anyway.
Let me get it out the way: this is a bargain, especially if you can get it with a discount or coupon as I did. And it's very good for a particular user. This is perfect for someone new to vinyl who doesn't have a lot of records and a pretty basic and minimalist setup. I am a record enthusiast with several hundred, but I bought this for a partner to get her started and it looks nice, is small, light, and easy to move around...But its size is the first point to talk about. It's small. And this may be perfect for smaller spaces like dorms, apartments, bedrooms, and the like, but I do wish it was both taller (no really, it's pretty short — not much taller than a basic end table) and that the shelve section was wider. The shelves are not wide enough to hold any standard amplifier/receiver. I mean, the top is, but you shouldn't put anything on top of an amplifier, so you'd have no place for the record player then. The bottom shelf will hold larger box sets, but the middle shelf is slightly shorter and will not. I also would like to have seen the fabric part on the right side be spaced a little deeper to hold more records. I don't think you can reasonable hold more than 3-5 records per tier there. Definitely going to be best for more of a "new arrivals" or "heavy rotation" display once you get over 20 or so records. You're still going to want to store a small collection on the shelving to the left or elsewhere as the collection grows.Fit and finish is a mixed bag, but the price point again makes it more than within the realm of expectations. The only fit issue I saw was where the sections of the metal side pieces come together — they fit, but the connection was at a slight angle. After getting them screwed together, I was able to do a little light bending to straighten it out, but otherwise everything came together without drama, and everything tightened nicely without stripping. Also, I always see it as a plus when self-assembly furniture comes with an extra of every screw and foot as this did. The painted particleboard wood has a subtle fake wood texture veneer, and all surfaces were clean of grime or stains. But the little number stickers they use to identify parts were way stickier than they needed to be, and you'll want to some Goo Gone or alcohol wipes on hand to make removing the adhesive left behind quicker and easier. Overall I don't think it looks as cheap as it is aside from the exposed screws in a few places. And then the little niggles are that the "now playing" block just sits on top without any way to secure it — adding even some rubber feet/pads will be something you want to do to keep it from sliding around. I really expected it to attach in some way. And of all the things I really wanted to see a bit nicer in quality was the fabric portion — it's pretty thin and comes with some creases. I ran it through the drier on wrinkle release and it only helped a little.Double the price and I'd be disappointed, but where it's at I think it's genuinely a nice solution for a minimalist setup where budget and space constraints are important — and I think when you've outgrown it you will feel you got your money's worth.

Great accent piece
Bought for college daughter in a new apartment. Perfect for small den to showcase her player and albums. Fairly easy to assemble and sturdy enough for what it is intended for. The gold scheme looks classy making an inexpensive item look much pricier. Only time will tell how it holds up. Great accent piece!
