I live in an old house with steps I've slipped on several times. I'm not sure how I haven't injured myself yet, and I don't want that to happen either. For some reason, I never thought to apply a non-slip surface to the old steps, which are polished smooth with time and many footsteps.They are too smooth. This can be a problem. When I saw these non-slip, transparent, and easy-application surfaces, I ordered them immediately. I think a big reason I never put this type of thing on the steps in the main house (I do have them on the basement steps) is that the no-slip on the basement steps, while functional, is pretty ugly. Think sandpaper, stuck to a set of utility steps. Good, but not something you want to look at every day.So when I saw this transparent, or at least not quite so obvious solution, I ordered them. When they came in, I measured them, and I appreciated the roller that comes with the pack. It works very well and will give you a nice job.As a bonus, I only had to trim these a little to get a good fit, a pair of scissors handled this well. A question I had was how difficult these would be to apply without wrinkles or other problems. It turns out that they're pretty stiff, so you don't have to fight them too much. Simply mark where you want them, and then lay down the edge closest to you, and gently allow them to fall into place while checking that they stay aligned. I only had to peel one of them up because of a wrinkle, and I made sure to check for wrinkles before putting them down firmly with the roller, which also helps with their transparency.This is a great kit!Recommend.

If you have wooden stairs in your house, this is one of the best, if not the best thing that you can buy for your house. Not only are they perfect for safety for anyone of any age, especially if you wear socks around the house, but they are so easy to apply that even a child could do it. There was visibly no ugly appearance that stood out oddly and it had very good Clarity not to mention the quality was really nice and I'm very impressed by that! So far the adhesion has been great and the performance is wonderful without worrying about sleeping on the steps especially for my different family members who have their own personal challenges. So now they made it simple, easy to apply, and a safety feature that you will not regret. This has to be one of the best things for your stairs, maybe even above handrails. For anyone on the fence about whether you should get this or not, I want you to not even hesitate and go ahead and get it, you will not be sorry!

Great, easy to use. Love that it came with instructions and tool to smooth it. Work well, it does provide better grip. I wouldn't call it invisible transparency, LOL, I do notice it, but it's okay safety first! Price is very reasonable! Don't know how well it'll stay adhered, time will show.
