The latest model, in particular, the “Generation 5” is equipped with a newly developed, unique pressed flat wire, to ensure the completely secure slotting in of the dart (without rebounds). Even thinner wiring or rather the wire’s acute angle, reduced of 90 degrees to 60 degrees, thereby provides an approximately 9 mm² larger scoring surface on the doubles and 6 mm² larger target area for triple fields. The resulting 14 % lower surface area for the metal spider significantly reduces so-called bounce outs or so-called rebounds. This allows for automatically higher scores. The “Rota Lock” system with its triple levelling adjusting wheels makes it possible to perfectly adjust the board even on uneven walls.Even when the dart is pulled out the board remains perfectly fixed thanks to the Winmau patented attachment system. Furthermore, the attachment system allows for significantly quicker turning of the board (to distribute wear and tear caused by hits). Also the bullseye and 25 ring have been made significantly harder and also more acute, which also has a positive effect on the hit rate as well as durability. The entire dartboard is free from any clamps of the metal spinner. The best quality of sisal fibres guarantees an especially long service life. Suitable for steel and soft darts.
