Age of Ultron collects Avengers #12.1 and Age of Ultron #1-10. Although it isn't what i thought it would be that didn't stop me from staying up until 1am to finish it. I am a comic novice, I expected this to be the introduction to Ultron and similar to the Avengers Age of Ultron, which it was my fault as I just assumed instead of researching. This isn't either of what I thought it would be, Ultron was introduced in The Avengers #54-#55 from 1968 which is older than I imagined but there you go. This also doesn't follow much of the story from the movie as far as I remember (only seen it once and in the cinema). I really did enjoy the story though. I thought it showed the mood and immersed me into this series very well, you saw how much was lost and I honestly felt for the heroes. You can feel that they are defeated that they had lost and the artwork shows that very well in my opinion. There's a very interesting development in this series that takes up about 3 or 4 issues later in the arc. I think I loved the story a lot more because it wasn't what I was expecting so the story itself was a surprise and a new adventure. Now as one review has said there isn't much Ultron in this arc, they are right, Ultron is hardly in this at all. Despite Ultron hardly being in the arc I don't think that's what this series is about, I think it's about the world, the loss, etc. So I personally am not bothered by the lack of Ultron in the arc but instead the idea and struggle of our heroes. I Love that more of the marvel universe is involved in this arc than in the movie which I guess is to be expected. If you are like me a novice or even someone who just hasn't read this arc, I would suggest doing so, this is a great arc and I'm considering buying it digitally on my Marv app so if I'm out and ever want to come back to it it can do so. Also the copy I received might be different from what you get because of different printings but you will still get the same issues. I hope you found this review helpful if you are on the fence about buying this, happy reading. Review: Intriguing Time-Travelling Romp - A most intriguing tale with plot & counter plot that’s hard to predict the outcome of. Good story telling! Very enjoyable!

More Marvel Time travel
First off - this is nothing to do with the Marvel movie, so if that's why you're thinking of picking this up, forget it. This is another of those Marvel "Event" series - lots of superheroes turn up (many of them for just a page), to defeat a world-threat. So yes, we get most of the familiar Marvel characters turning up, & a bunch of less well known ones. None of the characters get much "screen time", so there's no characterisation - this story relies on you knowing who everyone is, so there's no character development or explanation/introduction of the characters. The story moves forward fairly swiftly, an apocalyptic event has left North America in ruins, over-run by Ultron robots, the surviving superheroes try to come up with a plan. There's no big surprise that this involves the traditional Marvel time-travel - how else do you have & resolve a paradox without screwing up Marvel continuity & all the interlocking on-going Marvel titles? As with the many other recent similar Marvel stories, this is pretty unsatisfying, & left me feeling there was no point to the story at all. The plus points - mainly the art. Particularly the lush Bryan Hitch & Paul Neary section (as usual there are a bunch of different artists involved, but in this case they do well). Hitch's work occasionally looks cramped by the format (pages too small, or not enough pages for clear story-telling), but it's a minor quibble. The pacing is the usual from Bendis - finishing issues on Hero moments ("Let's do it!" kinda stuff) rather than cliff-hangers, which works well in individual issues, but in the collected form means the story stops dead every 25 pages & has to build up speed again. Overall - pretty pictures, okay but uninvolving story, for Marvel completists only.

truly beyond abysmal
truly beyond abysmal. we leap in after ultron's attack and see a devastated avengers team in hiding. unfortunate iconic images of a broken steve rodgers aside things go downhill pretty quickly from there. it involves time travel lots of time travel ,they go to the future then to the past then arrive in an alternate present and it manges to be mostly ludicrous and boring at the same time. As pointless as it gets

Great quality print, pages and cover art. the pages are bound very well so I don't think reading this will damage the binding. The pages themselves are glossy and are good quality. I'll be buying the rest of these omnibuses.

Age of Ultron started off exceptionally good and interesting but began to get a bit boring in the middle of the book coming down to the end.I think this comic should have had a better middle and end due to the great start of it. This is the reason for it losing one star. Spoiler alert, Ultron himself barely shows up in the book,if i had to day who was the star of this comic, it would be wolverine. I don't have any complaints on the art work it was pretty good. Age of Ultron ended of with a great epilogue which i'm planning to buy the follow up to. Despite the negates i mentioned earlier i still enjoyed reading it and highly advise marvel comic lovers to buy it.

I see an awful lot of similarities between this story and Age Of Apocalypse the X-mas story line. Artwork was pretty good and I enjoyed the story. Price was good and delivery was very fast.
