This is the first down pillow I've tried and I'm glad i gave it a shot. I'm usually cautious about down because I've have down jackets and quilts and they all have the same issues. Down tends to leak, the down smells like wet dog, and its hard to clean. This pillow doesnt have any of those issues.My down jackets and quilts leak down all the time and leaves some down either on my sweater underneath my jacket, or on my clothes from my quilt. It gets on everything and i find it floating around me all the time. Its annoying. So far, this pillow hasnt leaked down at all. Even when im patting it to puff it up, it doesnt leak down.When i first took out the pillow i noticed a card saying it might have a smell to it, like most down products but i have noticed my smell at all even when laying on it.The pillow comes with a pretty nice bamboo pillow case. Using the case youll end up needing to wash the pillow itself less frequently. The case keeps the pillow breathable and feels nice against the skin.The pillow puffs up nicely and your head sinks into it. The perfect thickness for back sleeping. If you side sleep, i think you'll want it a little thicker. But i like a soft pillow thats supportive once you sink into it, it craddles your head in place.Its nice to know the pillow is filled with RDS certified down. The quality is very good. So for the money, its a great value. I spent upwards to $150 on a pillow and this works better for me at half the price.

The pillow is a really great Down pillow! No feathers poking through, no odor at all (which means the down was washed really well prior to being used), and very poufy. I have used it a few nights now and it holds it's shape throughout the night beautifully. The pillow case is a very nice soft to the touch case. I'm happy I took the chance on this pillow!

Half of the filling is down, and the other half of the pillow is feathers. This fact wasn't disclosed when I chose the pillow. I found it to be uncomfortably firm, so I cut it open to try to figure out why. That is how I discovered the feathers, many of which I removed. I sewed the pillow shut again, and it is more comfortable now. I admit I am picky, but I didn't know I was buying feathers!

After trying several other pillows (purchased in a retail store and online), I have finally found the pillow that works for me. It's a nice light weight but still has ample fluff to support my head and neck. I sleep on my side with earbuds at night and I can make a small hollow for my ear so that I don't wake up with my ear throbbing. The pillow comes with an extra pillow case which, of course, can be washed to saves the outer cover of the pillow. It does not completely flatten out at night and with a bit of reshaping each night, fluffs right back up. It functions well for my needs and is a good value for the money.
