Great book for anyone trying to learn Hebrew on your own. I use Hebrew from scratch in my ulpan in NYC and a lot of the vocabulary is covered in this book. The CD is a great help. Extensive explanations are done in English. Get this if your learning on your own. I have used it for explanations for my rosetta stone.

Hebrew with Pleasure - is a pleasure to use
The book is just what it claims to be. A grammar that explains itself so well, you really need no other teacher. Excellent! Despite the few misspelt English words I can't recommend it highly enough

Excellent Way To Learn
I found this book very helpful and easy to use. I am taking Hebrew at a local temple and this is one of the books we use. Highly recommend this book.

Not the best for beginners but helpful
I read, speak and write Hebrew. I got this book for a friend I’m helping learn to read. It is okay but not great. The transliterations are helpful. Their are tests or exercises in each chapter, but no answers so the student never really knows how they are doing. Answers to the exercises would take the guess work and frustration in learning out of the picture. Overall, not a bad resource for the money.

Explain the langauge better
I could not find this is Israel and was happen to finally get a copy....great for learning the language. Far more straight for forward that "Hebrew from scratch" series
