Built one based on mechanical operation. It destroyed itself. Used this on the rebuild and it works great. Simplified construction, fewer parts and works great.

Industrial Quality at a disposable price!
I am an Industrial field service tech for the past 35 years, and previously managed maintenance, so I have dealt with many cylinders over the years. This week I was repairing an industrial wide belt sander that needed a cylinder for belt tracking. The original part is a Norgren at a cost that exceeded $250 and back ordered until June 21st. After measuring and comparing, I went with this, thinking to modify it, just to get the machine back up running until the original arrived. After receiving this cylinder, I was amazed that it is exactly the same as the original. No mods needed. The machine has been running 2 shifts without a skip. I cancelled the original and bought another one of these for a spare. I'm probably as happy as my customer.

Works as advertised
The media could not be loaded. Has plenty of power for my project. I got the 63mm bore by 250mm stroke. The adjustable end buffers are great! Way quieter than unbuffered ones. The inlet ports are 3/8 pipe thread and the provided fittings are for 5/16 OD polyethylene tubing.I still need to try crushing 16 and 24 ounce cans, bit I'm confident it won't be a problem.I'll give soup cans a try, but not too hopeful it will crush steel LOL.

Arrived Damaged, Plus Deceptive Measurements, but still worked
The media could not be loaded. First off, the cylinder arrived damaged. Its box was old, worn out and not taped shut, then was mailed in a paper sac that barely kept all the pieces inside the burst open box. When I got the package open, all the parts were loose inside the bag, rather than secured inside the box. Finally, when I took off the plastic shrink wrap around the cylinder, I found where the chassis was broken where it had taken a significant impact during shipping. (see photo)I realize that this may may not affect its function, but I want to make it clear that the shipping and handling was very sub-par.However, the second and more frustrating issue is the included fittings for the air tubes. The ports are described as being "3/8 Inch NPT". This is true. The ports ARE 3/8 inch NPT, however, while the THREADS on the fittings that they send with it to connect tubing are 3/8 inch, the PUSH-FIT end is NOT. It's 1/4 inch, I think, or perhaps some metric measurement that is close to that.I had ordered 3/8 inch tubing, a 3/8 inch NPT 2 position 5 way solenoid switch and everything, and now I will have to add more 3/8 inch fittings, because these ones don't match the tubing. If you say the port is 3/8, and the fitting is NOT, please state that in the part description. For that matter, the fittings weren't even listed in the description, that I can tell.**EDIT**Once installed, this cylinder worked just fine, irrespective of damage in transit. I still say that the fittings should match the stated diameters, but otherwise this is working as designed.

It Works But…,.,
This is a good “Americanized” pneumatic cylinder. You can find plenty of these on other sites but most are metric or British threads. This one even comes with NPT exhaust and input fittings. I like that! What I don’t like is the limited “in stock” number available. When the in-stock number are exhausted they are not replenished. That’s not good. The plus is that the price is good and the cylinders are good. Work out the supply issue and it will be 10 stars from me!!Update: The “in stock” supply has been replenished and I scooped them up. Thanks! I’ll be buying more.
