I'm confident I am not pulling in my garage with my pick up and getting to close to the cabinets.
Great product. Easy to install and I don't have to worry about changing batteries but if you don't have a garage door opener outlet you still can get complete use out of it because it works off of batteries as well. I would have to estimate having to change batteries every 5 years I bet.

Works Well
I have tried the wall mount parking systems and was not happy with the way they worked. I want my car parked so the rear bumper just clears the garage door, so I thought I would try this laser indicator. The laser projects a very visible, bright red dot that I have aligned to the edge of my dash. It doesn't get any easier then that. Pull the car into the garage until the dot is at the edge of the dash and your in. Installation is very easy - figure out where you want it on the ceiling and install 3 small screws. Keep in mind when you pick your location that you would normally plug the AC adapter into the same outlet you plug your garage door opener into. There should be plenty of cord with the adapter for most peoole I found that when I was out walking around in my garage, the built in motion detector would activate the laser, even if I was in front of my car. I didn't like the idea of having the laser on when it didn't really need to be on. So, I bought a "light socket to plug adapter" (google it) from my local Home Depot for less then $1. My garage door opener has two light bulbs built in. I removed one of the light bulbs and screwed in the plug adapter. I then plugged the ac adapter for the laser indicator into that plug. Now, the laser will only turn on when the garage door opener light is on. (When I open the garage door, the light turns on and if the door is open for a while, if I cross the electric eye at the front of the garage the light will turn on). If the light is on, this means the laser indicator is will get power and it will probably turn on also. I give this product a 4 instead of 5 stars because you can only adjust the laser in one direction - from the front of the garage to the back. It would be nice if you could adjust it from side to side, but the laser sits in a "slot", so you can't

A very good device for accurately parking your car in your garage. Highly recommended!
We used this parking aid for almost 8 years at our previous home and had very few problems. It was very useful for parking our car in our garage. Having recently moved to a new home, I have ordered this product again. When the new owners of our old house saw the red lasers pointing down from the ceiling in the garage, they asked our realtor if we were spies! LOL Every so often I found that the motion-activated light would fail to turn on but otherwise, this product was quite reliable. And the extra LED light on this unit is helpful if your garage lighting is less than optimal. One tip for how to use it: I used this dual parking aid with just one car on one side of our garage by aiming the two lasers at each of the two windshield washer nozzles on the hood. This worked extremely well to positively locate the car in both directions - right to left and front to back. Takes all of the guesswork out of positioning your car in your garage! The only trick is to precisely aim the lasers from the ceiling while the car is in the garage - that takes a little trial and error and pulling the car in and out to use a ladder to make adjustments. But once it's done, these lasers won't move. Well worth the expense!

Awesome product for parking in garage
Great for letting us know that the car is far enough in the garage to safely close the door without hitting stuff in front. Works perfectly. We’ve had it for about a year and still working.

Laser pointers have changed for the worse!
I had an earlier version of this. The laser pointers would spread out to at least halfway across the cars (horizontally, toward the garage walls), giving you plenty of spots to aim at on the car. (Although on that one, on of the pointers broke just after warranty so we were forced into using one of those battery-operated stop signs where the batteries wear out the second time you pull the car in. ;-) ) We were refinishing the garage, so I bought a new one. It turns out that the laser pointers have been changed - I suppose more correctly, the restrictors have been changed. The pointer will now barely get partway across the driver's seat on the car where it is closest to the center. And that doesn't work for me, as my dashboard has a hump and I can't see the pointer until it's in my lap - but that's me, this restriction might not bother someone else. Plus, of course, construction ran over time and today is my last day to return, but the other car is out and it's our anniversary, so when my wife brings it in I am NOT going to be out doing construction in the garage. Which of course means I can't test it on her car to see if it works or not (although the same restriction will presumably apply, just on the passenger seat), or to decide if I want to return. Arrgh.

It's a bit hard to get it aimed just right, because it's really stiff so it doesn't move when you get it in the right spot. This means you have to get a little creative on where you're going to aim it on the car. Nice and bright, and the motion sensor works great. Our garage has been as low as -12 Celsius and it didn't have any trouble. Have to see how long the batteries last, but been good so far.

Actual value £5. Arrived and laser pods were not in their housing and impossible to fit. Hard brittle plastic cheap and nasty. I contacted seller for help and chased x2. No reply. Avoid, its a great idea but buy an alternative.
