It's just been described as 'the best present ever' by my Irish wife. So there you go. Looks great, smells even better. And they sent out another one when the first got lost in the post by Royal Mail. Brilliant service and great buy.

Mixed feelings!!
The idea of this product is absolutely lovely but the thing is, the little pieces of turf just don't stay alight so you only get the smell of the turf for about a couple of seconds. The smell of burning turf is so beautiful so that is why I got it so I could use it a bit like an incense stick. I also think it is very expensive , even if it did work, but it was the only one I could find. If you could guarantee the turf would burn and maybe reduced the price a little , then I would buy this product as a gift for loads of people.

The smell of Ireland, if not the taste.
Whilst I think it is over priced I can't argue with the pleasure this little cottage burner brings me. If there is one thing I have always kept in my memory of Ireland is not the views, lovely though they are, not the people, again lovely as they are, not even my ex, ditto to the words before, but the smell of peat wherever you go in Ireland. There is this distinctive aroma that is just delightful, and this little gift brings that home. Sometimes the peat is a little difficult to light but once done so, placed onto the tray and then the cottage placed over the burner, the room fills with peat smell and the wisp of smoke rising through the chimney is beautiful. Put simply if you don't like the smell of Peat, this is not for you, but if you do....

Light the turf, close your eyes and be transported back to a cosy Irish cottage. Absolutely love it!
