This is the one to get...
There are several similar mounts of this style on the market. They look almost identical, so you'd think they are all the same, but they are not. Most of the mounts have a design with a poorly designed clamping mechanism, the part that holds it to the rail. This one has a more substantive clamp that has much better engagement.I had an NcStar mount on two of my rifles before; they look and are sized almost identical to this Monstrum mount. One of the NcStar mounts worked great and I have no complaints about it. The other mount, same NcStar model, wasn't to spec and the rail clamp engagement was really poor and to the point where I could literally pull the mount off the rail very easily with my hand, no matter how tight the clamp screw was. This Monstrum mount has a much better clamp design for the rail that has far better engagement (you can see and compare via the product images). This design could tolerate being fairly far out of spec before failing, relatively speaking; it can't give way unless the product were purely defective.I'm happy with the Monstrum mount I received, so I'm going to order another. I likely just had a bum NcStar unit and I could have just exchanged it and been fine, but the design of this mount is the right design, so it's what I want in service.Note that the NcStar mount may be a few grams lighter. The NcStar has a slightly better designed finger screw in my opinion (it's round and knurled, vs the Monstrum's smooth hex knob), but small difference. I didn't measure it, but the bodies are effectively identical, and the Monstrum has a little more material in both the flashlight clamp, and the rail clamp. Small difference, but if you care about those few grams, it's something to pay attention to.

Good for the money
Having about 10 "tactical" flashlights already, I didn't feel the need to buy another one that included mounting hardware and possibly a cord and activation button for a lot of money. The external button with a wire is just something to get in the way in my opinion and the buttons usually fail at some point. This perfectly mounted one of my flashlights just fine and seems sturdy enough plus it is easily installed, removed or moved to another piece of equipment. For the money, this fits the bill just right

great
I recently purchased the Monstrum Tactical 1" Offset Picatinny Rail Mount for Flashlights. I had no problems with the installation, and it works as intended. The mount is made of anodized aluminum and steel, which makes it lightweight but sturdy. It comes with all the necessary mounting hardware, and it was easy to install on my rifle.

CONGRATULATIONS......YOU JUST FOUND THE RIGHT MOUNT!!!!
This mounting bracket from MONSTRUM is a very heavy-duty, well crafted, and flawlessly milled piece of aluminum alloy. The base of the mount fits perfectly on a standard 20 mm Picatinny rail and comes with a screw type of tensioner. After hand tightening, find the hole through the screw head, place a small Allen wrench into the head......and go to town cranking this mount down. Trust me, you can make this mount so sturdy that you would think it was welded onto your rail!! The top of the mount..."the cage" is also very well made, and fastens with four (4) screws so that whatever you are mounting will definitely stall in place until you want to remove it. I am using this mount to attach a tactical flashlight to my Ruger AR556, and I have full confidence that my light is extremely secure, and ready to face any task without coming loose. In the past, I have spent as much as 3 to 4 times the cost of this mount for a similar device.....but to be brutally honest, this mount is just as good or better than the more expensive offerings here on Amazon. This mount is made to secure a device that is 25 mm ( 1 inch ) in circumference, and it does it with ease!!! Don't waste your time or hard earned money on a different mount just because of a better advertised name.......purchase this mount for your attachment needs and I know that you won't be disappointed in the least with your decision. I'm extremely picky when it comes to my firearms....and just as picky about any accessories that may be used with my firearms. This mount easily met all of my criteria......and even surpassed some of my critical points of inspection.

Good Value for the Money
If this works for you, it's great value for 9 bucks. However, i have not tested the threads. I bought this to mount a red night light on my cross bow. I though i may have room to fit it on the rail. Not the case. You'll need an inch or so of rail in front of the scope, or a rail mounted under the xbow to mount it.
