Great easy to read book.
Not really a lot of new news however it was great to see the "science" behind some of the concepts. And, there are a number o new ways of looking at life on the planet in this body suit that I liked. Recommended!

Easy to Read
I love David Hamilton and have read most of his books. He gives the science behind meditation, being kind, and how the mind can heal the body. He does it in a very understandable way and you get a sense of kindness and understanding from him. His books give practical techniques to create a more peaceful life and to heal emotionally and physically.

Scientific research making the improbable understandable so you can form an opinion for yourself.
This is probably my favourite book from Dr David Hamilton because he's gone where others haven't. He uses his knowledge, his research skills, his connections to really explore various topics with an open mind. Though his background was working as an organic chemist for the drugs industry, his writing is down to earth, easy to understand and humorous. If you're going to decide what you believe about these topics it's great to have solid information so you can make an informed opinion. I find this stuff incredibly fascinating because I used to be a scientific researcher too, many things we couldn't explain at that time are now things we take for granted. This book is worth the price even if you're only interested in learning a bit more about a few of the topics. If something doesn't resonate with you then you can leave that and work with what does. When we understand why something works we are much more committed to giving it a go, when it can't hurt and might help alongside other more conventional approaches.I haven't finished reading it but already I can heartily recommend it. It's inspired some very interesting conversations within the family already!

Finally! Confirmation of something I’ve always…..”known.”
As a long-time practitioner of Reiki, I knew it was “working” but could not help noticing that other healing modalities used by others - prayer, chanting, qigong et al - also worked. I told myself these were all based on our largely untapped power of human intention. Dr. Hamilton bases the success of all of these not so much on intention but rather on the strength of human emotion. He says “Most healing practices are founded on a compassionate wish to help spare a person from suffering, so it likely doesn’t matter that much who or what a healer believes in, or even which specific technique they use, so long as they feel compassion when they x send healing and their intentions are honest and heartfelt.”I find Hamilton’s explanation that an element of consciousness arises outside the individual human brain and connects us all universally a deeply satisfactory way to integrate so many of my personal experiences that urged me beyond a merely materialistic worldview toward something more like what he calls idealism.
