Do these work properly if installed on a dimmer switch (actually dimming)? Has anyone had these for years without issue?

I have a dimmer switch I have separate switches for the dimmer and on/off. In order for it to work properly I have to turn the dimmer all the way down and then turn the light on using the on/off switch then I can adjust the brightness using the dimmer switch. If I have the dimmer switch set up to bright and turn the lights on they just blink continuously. Keeping the dimmer switch turned all the way down works for me so that’s how I do it Hope this helps
