My Favorite Phone Ever - And I've Owned Them All!
One of my favorite phones of all time. And I've owned nearly every flagship Android smartphone created. I won't get into the technical specifications, you can find that anywhere.Where this phone stands out is it's front and back glass. While some may find the square design boring, it's an understated (less is more) look and when you select the copper color, the phone is beautiful and really stands out. Whenever I pull it out (I don't keep it in a case which is why I've gone through 3 of them already) people always ask "wow what kind of phone is that". In the US at least it's like a status symbol because no one has seen one (except geeks like myself). It's on par with the rest of the flagship devices with regard to specs and speed. It wipes the floor with the iPhone. You can't even compare the two. Build quality, speed, and a great feature has to be the waterproof feature. I regularly text in the shower (don't judge me, single life is hard keeping up with all these women, have to maximize my texting time). I probably wouldn't do it if my phone wasn't waterproof. But hey it's nice to know if I'm in the shower and getting an important call I can just grab the phone while in the shower. For all the hype the camera receives. I'm actually quite disappointed. I'm also always using AUTO Mode, I mean let's get real. When you whip out a cell phone to take a picture, chances are you're not trying to adjust white balance, and ISO settings, most save that for the DSLR. Camera phones are for that instant quick decent quality photo.I've been repeatedly disappointed in the Sony Z3 Camera. Photos always look somewhat faded and often times out of 3 photos, 1-2 may be blurry. It's like it just can't auto focus quickly enough. It's not a horrible camera, but the bar for Sony is much higher. Why are you providing camera sensors to other phone manufacturers yet your own phone doesn't have a great sensor? Ridiculous. On a good note regarding the camera, I love the dedicated camera button (should be standard on all phones). I also like their very light-touch skin on Android. In fact every feature they added I find extremely useful. Much like value-add not bloatware (I'm looking at you Samsung). Sony took the time to create relevant tweaks not just "hey look what we threw in, because we would, even though you'll never need or use it". Like all manufacturers there are a couple of nonsense apps, but hey maybe the next person will like those nonsense apps. The point is there are very few junk apps. Android feels like Android not someone attempting to make an entirely new OS.It runs the Lollipop update, not sure if it will get Marshmallow.I find the photos online just don't do the Copper Z3 any justics. I highly recommend this phone. However keep in mind the Sony Xperia X5 is coming out in the next month.

Not exactly what the title suggests.
Although the phone seems to work just fine and in fact is unlocked, it comes with branding, when turned on a T mobile splash logo appears on screen. Maybe it should be clarified on the product's description for a better knowledge of what is being purchased.Other than those things it seems ok, I will keep on updating what happens.

BAD QUALITY BAD SERVICE, NO SELLER OR CUSTOMER CARE INFORMATION, PHONE IS NOW DEAD!
My phone stopped working exactly a year after it's purchase. The left side of the screen went non functional. I purchased it in the US in Aug 2015 and I was in India during May 2016 when this happened. I wake up one morning to find that the screen wont let me swipe to see all apps on the menu or not open contact details on whatsapp.I did all the tests that are inbuilt in the phone and during the display test, it clearly showed a non functional left side.So I rushed to the India Sony service center that out right refused service saying it was a German make and hence I had to get in touch with the German Service Center, that they would not even connect me to!I couldn't come back and do the repair in USAAlso it did not come with a 1 yr warranty! So basically I was completely stranded with a NOW dead phone

A great phone!
This is a really great phone. I really like it. I use to use Samsung Galaxy smartphones and I hated them. Nothing but frustration. Then I was given an Xperia V with a broken screen. I got the screen replaced and fell in love with the Xperia line of phones. Sony really cares about making quality products. The Xperia V worked so much better then any Galaxy phone I ever had, I kept it for several years. Finally, the GPS antenna went out and I had to upgrade. I knew I would upgrade to another Xperia. After looking and comparing specs, I decided to go with the Xperia Z3. I mean, 3GB of Ram and a 2.5Ghz quad core processor! Find another phone with these specs. Only the latest galaxies come close. This phone is really fast. I just operates like lightening. It has plenty of ram for me to install all of my favorite apps and then some. The phone is slim and has a nice bright screen. Of course I bought a gel case and a tempered glass screen protector right out of the gate. The battery life is awesome! Unlike other phones I have owned, this phone uses almost no power when the screen is off. I charged it to 100% before I went to bed. I unplugged it overnight. The next morning the phone was still at 99%. This phone can do a whole day of standard use (email, facebook, google search, navigation etc.) on a single charge. The GPS on my other phones drained my battery so fast I to keep it turned off unless the phone was plugged in. Not on this Z3. I have had the phone for a month and never have turned the GPS off. I pretty much leave all the antennas turned on (Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi) all the time and the battery still goes all day with lot's left over. I don't play games on my phone so I can't comment about that, but I would guess it would do pretty good.Because this phone is a Sony direct phone (International version), it does not have all the carrier bloatware that other phones have that come from AT&T, TMobile, Verizon etc.I am not going to list all the specs for this phone. If you want a complete list of it specs, go to GSM ARENA and look them up there. So why did I give this phone only four stars. The only negative I can find with this phone is the antenna. The antenna on this Z3 is a lot weaker then the one on my old Xperia V. I travel in the same areas, and I never had a dropped call with my Xperia V. Even in areas where my wife's Galaxy S4 had no signal, my V had 3 to 5 bars. Unfortunately, this Z3, has an antenna about equal to that of my wife's S4. Which means that if we are in a bad area with no signal, neither one of us can make a call. Fortunately, this is not a common event, but it still bothers me that Sony did not keep the strong antenna in the Z3 that they put in the V.
